Painkiller pre-order incentives announced
DreamCatcher announces special pre-order bonuses for its upcoming first-person shooter.
Publisher DreamCatcher has launched a Painkiller pre-order campaign in conjunction with several major retailers in North America. Customers who pre-order the game through EB Games or GameStop will get a free Painkiller T-shirt. Best Buy and Future Shop Canada shoppers will receive a demo disc that contains three levels from Painkiller's single player campaign.
CompUSA customers have perhaps the most interesting incentive--a T-shirt and an entry to an official Painkiller online tournament. The tournament will run from April 26 to July 15, with $5,000 cash and an Alienware PC among the top prizes. Top players will also be awarded seeded positions in the summer Cyberathlete Professional League (CPL) Painkiller tournament.
Painkiller is a fast-paced, first-person shooter developed by People Can Fly. The game features hordes of enemies, massive boss monsters, and physics effects powered by the Havok 2 engine. For more information on the game, check out our previous coverage.
