The upcoming Ong Bak game, based on the Thai martial arts franchise, will be published by German company Immanitas Entertainment worldwide.

The company, which published titles such as Frozen Hearth and Uprising 44, will be releasing Ong Bak: Tri this winter for the PC, consoles, and smartphones. The title will be presented as a 2.5D side-scroller and will feature hand-to-hand combat, free-running segments, and quick-time events.

Realistic martial arts action goes well with zombies and killer plants. Like peanut butter and jelly.

Ong Bak: Tri will be running on the Unity game engine that has been used for titles like Family Guy Online, Guns of Icarus Online, and Bad Piggies. In addition, Ong Bak actor Tony Jaa will be lending his likeness to the game protagonist, and director Thossaporn Poonnart and choreographer Panna Rittikrai will be working closely with developer Studio HIVE.
