delays suck especially when they said q1 but now its been pushed back a fricken year. though i suppose its for the best since a crap load of rpgs are releasing in q1 and 2 anyway.
PS3 adventure from Spirited Away creators Studio Ghibli gets updated Western release windows.
The Western world will have to wait a little longer for Studio Ghibli's first gaming collaboration. Namco Bandai today announced that Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch for the PlayStation 3 will launch in North America in winter 2012, with a European debut following in 2013.
Ni no Kuni comes from Professor Layton developer Level-5 in collaboration with Studio Ghibli, the production house behind decorated Hayao Miyazaki films, such as Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, and Howl's Moving Castle. The animation studio's part in this project includes character designs and animation, with music from composer Joe Hisaishi.
Level-5 is known for its work on the Dragon Quest series, and Ni no Kuni will stick close to the studio's specialty of role-playing games. The story follows Oliver, a young boy on a quest to become a master magician in an effort to return his dead mother from a parallel world called "Ni no Kuni."

As long as it is still coming. Though I was hoping it would release sooner. Not sure releasing during the Winter is so smart.
oh yeah, definetly gonna get this game, love his movies and the games is looking to be just as good. this is awsomeness.
The longer the wait the better.... but I WILL be getting this game! I'll just need to get a PS3 to go with it, lol.
Umm... correct me if I'm wrong, but when talking about release windows, doesn't winter = Q1 (i.e. between January and the end of March)? Or are they seriously saying that it'll come out between December 21st (first day of winter) and December 31st; thereby missing the main bulk of the holiday shopping season? Or did someone forget that fall (Q4) runs from the end of September through the end of December? Either way, I'm really looking forward to this game, but I hope the wait isn't too long.
Is it sad to say that THIS might be the game that makes me buy a PS3........... I am such an anime whore...
And there is a LOT of dialogue. The game is freaking huge, similar to Dragon Quest. It's aimed at younger players like DQ, but the story is actually somewhat interesting and really emotional, rather than stereotypical save the princess bull*#*3. This is a really touching story about a recently orphaned boy going on an adventure in a desperate attempt to ressurect his Mum. And there is a lot of dialogue. Every NPC has something to say..
Waiting until 2013 in Europe's a long haul. I'd expected this game to be out before the end of this year.
On one side, its good to finally hear news about this game. On the other side, its a pity they are going to release it in Q4 2012, to compete with the next COD and AC...
