Next Golden Sun in the works?

@_Huzzaahh Cool. Weird thing I didnt respond to this because I got a message I just looked around and happened to find this.

@ _CaptainHappy_ A DS Golden Sun game was announced at E3 2009. It should be out this year.

OMG THIS WAS WRITTEN IN 2003 WHY DON'T THEY JUST MAKE ANOTHER ONE ALREADY!!!!!!!

I would like a Golden Sun 3 but like Destiny said, I want it to be a legit game and not trash.

Golden Sun is just awesome... But I can tell you there won't be a third one, or at least for quite some time. I think I heard something along the way that Camelot wouldn't work with Nintendo any more... Something like that... Besides, we don't want someone bad making the sequel, like Nintendo. Nintendo's sequel's are just atrocious, so I don't even know if I WANT GS to be extended if it means Nintendo's in charge of it.

Yeah, I seriously wish they would post SOMETHING. It would be awesome if they made Golden Sun for the Wii. That would be amazing.

A prequel explaining the backstory of characters like the Wise One and maybe even the secret bosses would be sweet. --or-- Something directly before the events of the first game, from the viewpoint of Saturos, Menardi and Alex.

The fanbase is really huge, they'd make a lot of money if they made another Golden Sun.

They either need to say whether or not they are going to make another one. If they do, that's awesome! If they don't, that really sucks... I just wanna know the waiting is killing me

For those of you that don't yet know, Isaac is an Assist Trophy in Brawl. He uses the psyenergy hand to push enemies off the edge. Kinda silly yet a nice tribute.

a third game? i thought there was only one on gba? am i missing something? golden sun is the best handheld game ive probably ever played. rich storyline, insane graphics for an early gba title, stellar gameplay, and unique creature and item system. i loved everything about this game...even the menus and customization. And the difficulty was perfect. i would love to see this game brought to the ds.

They should include Isaac in Brawl

I would assume we would either get a prequel about the sealing of Alchemy or a sequel about how Alex survived, about the new world and about how Alex wants to get the Mars Star from Isaac and company. Still, I wonder if there has been any news since back then about a sequel, lots of us fans are impatiently waiting...

Man,what the hell is WRONG with these people?! Golden Sun is one of the most amazing RPG's ever created, it's just SOOOOO underrated it pisses me off. I don't understand why so many other games receive so much attention and not this game. Seriously, It's one of the best RPG's I've probably ever played in my life, why don't they just make a new story? or a prequel!? WHY DON'T THEY DO IT ALREADY!?!!!?!?

Honestly I don't know if a third one will come out. Theres nothing more to do and the only thing they can do is is make a prequel to the whole story

I have been waiting sooo long for a new Golden Sun game. For God's sake would they just at least say whether they are gonig to make a new one or not! I can deal with "Golden Sun is over" I'd be very dissapointed, but damn they havent said ANYTHING it's frustrating.

seriously, the Golden Sun series is WAY better than the Final Fantasy ones, mainly due to Final Fantasy's annoying, repetitive, super long boring storyline that's practically the SAME every game, your good, you kill evil, thats it, and for some you gotta GRIND-assss. Plus Golden Sun's Battle system for a Game Boy Advance is some NICEShyyyt., especially how each weapon has a special ability. Now thinking about it, this was the ONLY game i didn't hack, because it was so well rounded in gameplay with the storyline and puzzles, unlike many other games which is boring if you don't hack it.

Mario Golf??! Mario Tennis???!! ffs, I really do not care for these games what so ever (although im sure they will be of a good standard). Golden Sun is such a fantastic IP. I hope nintendo realise its potential and have a new game in the works. Perhaps for the Wii, but I kinda hope for the DS and please let motoi sakuraba do the music, he just cant go wrong. So there you have it... another HUGE fan of the Golden Sun games begs for a new one. Do we need to start an official petition? I'd gladly lend my skills to the project :)

i think that Golden Sun has been shot to sh*t. There has been no news of Camelot or Nintendo so far about production of GS3.

golden sun was perfect, you can make like any class you want, the music was great, storyline huge, battlesystem is not annoying like some games, but i would find it weird playing it on 2 screens.. I wish nintendo just made a 1 screen touch screen then every game wouldnt just have a dumb minimap at the bottom.. and for the guy with the link that showed goldensun 2 data being transfered to "the next golden sun" on that japanese website or whatever I can tell you know thats its BOGUS 1 reason i know that is that if they allow you to transfer your characters... remember some people in golden 1 transfered like high level people mostly around 40s i guess if they didnt OD and know they are like 70-100 in golden sun 2 so imagine mid game in the golden sun ds you transfer your characters into it... unless they increase the level cap which would be stupid that would be a preeeety boring game

golden sun was just THE greatest GB game EVER, no doubt, no question, do dispute... anyone who argues deserves execution! i would seriously by the game the day it came out and then by a DS as soon as i had enough money (as i dont have one at the moment) if it came out on the DS. has anyone e-mailed Camelot or Nintendo or anything and asked them what they say? p.s. Alex is just misunderstood... he's not evil!

I bought the first two. I played the first two. I loved - excuse me, LOVE - the first two. Although, if it took them this long, I kind of doubt that they'll make a third, but there's always a hope.....

ahhh where is the third Golden Sun? I loved the first two and I've been waiting for forever for the third one to come out. The story just screams another game and I really hope I dont have to wait too terribly much longer, but seeing as how there's been no recent news, I probably will have to.

I'd say that's fake, that being the title screen I would expect to see a Camelot or Nintendo logo somewhere. Besides Camelot or Nintendo wouldn't release such an image without a formal announcement and from what I can tell neither has made any such announcement. I'd be more than happy to be proven wrong though.

I would love a new GOLDEN SUN but for the DS...it would be so nice and I bet I it would loock so awesome.. I wonder what they would name the title if they make another one...maybe golden sun the dark ages!!

i miss that game

Damn I just reacently got both Golden Suns beat the first and I am in the middle of the second, they are awesome games, probabley the best portables games you can get. But I didnt realize this game came out in 2003! And no news on a sequel, thats not good. But man could you imagine what they could do if there was a sequel for DS. They could implement all kinds of bad ass psy-energy-touch-screen thingies! Really, really hope they make another!

I really wish this would happen, but it's probably too late now...

You know what? even if this is a great game (cuz it is) I'm begining to lose hope on a sequel. CAN ANYONE GET US AN UPDATE ON THIS SO LOG WAITED SEQUEL!!!
