New mounts for Mists of Pandaria revealed

Blizzard adding "dozens" of new mounts with upcoming World of Warcraft expansion, including cloud serpents, yaks, birds, and flying discs.
In addition to introducing the new Pandaria zone and Pandaren race, next month's World of Warcraft expansion Mists of Pandaria will bring "dozens" of new mounts, Blizzard has announced. The developer revealed these today through the World of Warcraft website, detailing a host of animal beasts and vehicles.
New mounts for Mists of Pandaria include cloud serpents (at right), water striders, flying discs, yaks, and a gun-mounted zeppelin. More details and images of the expansion's mounts are available through the game's website.
Mists of Pandaria is World of Warcraft's fourth expansion, and arrives on September 25. The add-on also bumps the game's level cap to 90 and introduces a new monk class.

I still find it weird that you can't get a copy of GW2 now. I think they are waiting for MOP to launch and it's effect on their pop. It has nothing to do with keeping players happy and lag. It's all about $$ and they don't want 15 servers sitting empty. I'm placing bets right now that around Sep 23 digital copies of GW2 will become available.

@buccomatic Come back to me when GW2 sells tens of millions of copies of GW and has a user base of 9 million which will get a bump when this expansion comes out. I've tried GW2, and knew within 10 minutes that the game doesn't hold a candle to WoW.
They said the same thing about SWTOR: "nah it's better than WOW just give it some time it's too new they gotta fix some stuff..." and well we know where it went. i'm far from a WOW fanboy and i've tried to find a new MMO but GW2, SWTOR they all were normal and in my opinion not enough to beat WOW, it's more to compete equally
@michaelrjohnson its not even been 3 weeks since game is out tipical fanboy i played wow for 7 years and 1 week of gw and in way it compares with same old warcraft deal with it fanboy theres a ney player in town tell that to all full servers in gw lol
Now let's hope that you don't have to spend months of frenzied grinding to get them or worse, pay for them. :)
2 Like This is true, wow is a great game regardless which races/classes they put in. The fact that they still update it and constantly work on new IDEA by adding content is amazing, considering the fact that it has been 8 years released on november 24th =)
GW2 is also a great game, but again it was just released and lets see what it will offer us in the next 7 years.

5 Like it's funny how many wow haters are in world but most of them never had played Wow at all at least try game before qq and hate i tried Gw 2 beta , and had tried in my childhood gw 1 but stuck with wow nothing to be ashamed at all :)

As for mop we all know that players will buy minimum 7 million so it's way more than gw 2 sells.

@gameking5000 GW2 really is different. All the other wow killers were crap. It's early, but GW2 is certainly living up to the hype right now. Most fun I've had in a mmo in ages.

Stopped playing WoW since 2007. A good game, but... a "little" too expensive (and time demanding :S)

11 Like A huge reason why I support GW2 over WoW is that ArenaNet WANTS to promote a business model with no subscription fees. I don't see why anyone would want to pay 15$/month to play over having no fees at all. Blizzard is milking all its players and many seem to like it.
ArenaNet WANTS to deliver a high quality product and has invested 5 years in making it so. None of this annual business cycle like other mega-grossing franchises such as CoD. Sort of like CD Projekt Red (Witcher 1 & 2) who want to provide DLC-like content for free.
I don't see why gamers wouldn't be in favour of such philosophies and instead feel the need to defend companies that charge them a steady stream of money beyond the original purchase price to continue to play.

I know this is hard for people like you to understand, since you're obviously hellbent on assuming that all WoW players are mindless sheep that flock together from expansion to expansion.
My heavy-playing WoW days ended in 2008, and I've moved onto other games myself. I'm enjoying the crap out of GW2 like many others... and will for a loooong time. I even bought the collector's edition. :D
But I'm also buying the collector's edition of Mists. Why? Because unlike people like you, I play games I enjoy, not games people TELL ME I should enjoy. It IS entirely possible for someone to have fun with WoW and GW2 simultaneously.
But hopefully this works out better than it did when I bought the collector's edition of SWTOR... boy was that a mistake on my part. :|

I just get irked when folks slag GW2 and not realize that this subscription free model is really good for consumers (I know that some can afford 15$/month) and, taking into personal tastes, I do really think that GW2 *cannot* be called a "bad" game where the developer did not put effort, thought and polish into their work, where the developer rushed the game out before it was ready in the name of profits, advocate a pay-to-win mentality, etc, etc.

1 Like Ahh, I remember those days when WoW was considered the crown jewel of MMO gaming. It's aging, and should probably stop after this expansion. But they were some good years.
@Dudeinator They're not. They have two more expansions to go, since it's likely they'll stop once the level cap is set to 100.

@DragonRift LOL whatever on that not even Close to having 9.1 subs (anymore) if you can prove that. then want to see the results because last time i played servers were empty ( LOW) . yeah at 1 point they had 10 mil subs. doesn't mean they were all active.

@Abysshalolover Oh gee, I don't know. IGN, Gamespot and several other sources pointed out their drop to 9.1 million only a couple weeks ago. At one point they peaked at 12 million in 2009.
