New Final Fantasy for PS4 in the works

RE: When i was a kid my dad gave me a playstation with final fantasy 7, and it lasted me years. i would definitely pay to have an experience like that again. Playing ff7 and ff9 was such an adventure for me. I could play for hours doing all the side quest for different weapons and materia or even just to find out more about the characters stories.  

Ever since those games i have never played final fantasy again and i would say it is because it has lost all of those little things that made me love the game in the first place. I say Square should go back to what the games use to be. so much character, romance, and mysterious adventures!

i miss final fantasy 7, i wish other kids could experience what i had playing ff7

Final Fantasy X was the best!!! What we need is another epic story like that one!!!!

Fifteen years ago, I never imagined that a headline featuring these exact words would elicit absolutely no emotional response from me.

Maybe they should finish the games they're currently working on before starting new ones.

Is FFXIII Versus still in development or did they finally cancel it?

Only FF game I've actually liked was FFX.

Don't make another FFXIII.  Go back to the roots.  Restore my faith in the franchise.  Kick this Action based ATB crap into touch. FF has always been about taking your time and thinking about thing rather than mindlessly mashing the X button.

WILL announce every game you want them to at e3 this year EXCEPT a remake of final fantasy 7,come on,why ruin a good thing with a remake.and why have you bandwaggon tards forgot that s.e. left us out of the annaversary box set loop?i want that!lets not forget we wont be getting an english dub of the final fantasy trading card game.we all need to just hang on until after e3 before we string up the single largest publisher/producer of ip on the planet.just saying.

If Square Enix had announced the new Kingdom Hearts here at this reveal it would've been a massive explosion of positive press. They needed to have something ready to show, they didn't show anything because it's obviously going to be Final Fantasy Versus XIII that they release.

The unveiling of the PS4 was a huge event, but I think SQ didn't take advantage of it at all. Shouldn't they have showed us the new FF at this unveiling rather than E3?

It will certainly be interesting to see the new SE engine "luminous" in action. Let's all hope they don't spend god ages making the game though. Development cycle is tough on us gamers, you know! :P.  

Final Fantasy games I played when I was 10 were really impressive back then. Now that the next Final Fantasy will have to be superior on PS4 to the previous releases all the traditional Final Fantasy features will be more and more changed. Already FFXIII-2 was different from what Final Fantasy usually was like. I really welcome the great graphics in the game, the new stories were great as well, it will be definitely an improvement for game history. However, I also wished to feel the unique atmosphere of Final Fantasy which we had in the previous games. Somehow not to let the basics vanish even though there´s great development.

I always love how beautiful and how I feel so many emotions through a ff game so they must keep that going but I would like some of the features from FF 7 and FF 10 to come back. Because I just don't want my battle to just be pressing one button and using paradigm shift. Just change the battle system keep the beautiful battles with the flashy stuff but just try and just think of something new. The next FF game better feel like my own memories like I did after 10 and 13.

The New Final Fantasy should have the mechanism used in final fantasy 7 or 10 , Because the paradigm system will destroy everything the old final fantasies games achievements.  The materia system is Strong and final fantasy 10 system too,it should be open world , a world map , secret hidden areas, secret hidden aeons weapons, that is what makes final fantasy great and that what was missing in final fantasy 13,  the menu should be more classic , even the fonts should be changed , the new menus look like too modern and not to related to the theme of the game it looks o robotic, but in conclusion if the paradigm system will remain , i guess final fantasy should change its name.

FFXIII versus? damnit, gimme!

This is good for a few laughs. I remember there being talk about versus being originally planned for PS2, but later pushed to PS3 as it was so close to release. If they're not going to release it soon I don't find there being much point in it anymore. Would've been nice to see the release kicked to PS4 though :p, but that probably won't be possible because of the differences in the architecture.

New Final Fantasy game? Oh boy I cant wait for it to be release 6 - 7 years later while they string me along with gameplay and fake pleas of " were are working as hard as we can" then for it to be moved to the next console. Fan Fucking Tastic

Hironobu Sakaguchi was father of the FF series. Hes last game was FF10 before leaving Square Enix. Ever since FF games have been garbage so can care less about Final Fantasy

When is FF7 remake coming, that's the only thing people want and care about.

Since SE isn't going to top it, they should just do the damn remake already.

look guys,im o.k. with not every person likeing final fantasy 12.but if you are going to openly bash the game come up with something more than,the game mechanics were too complex or the game was too difficult or "they locked certain abilities at certain points"(cataract at ridorina:pharos tower)all that sounds like is "im a bad gamer and cant grasp simple gaming concepts"certainly dont compare it to star wars.

Could they re-announce FFXIII Versus?  Guess I wouldn't put it past them.  Won't deny I am excited nonetheless or that I am not so secretly hoping for a full-fledged KH announcement.  Hopefully there will be quite a few FF games coming out for PS4 because PS3 had one of the fewest number of original FF titles (aka not sequels of a FF title) than almost any console since Versus never did come out.

I am glad that FFXV (if indeed that is what this new game is) is being made rather than not for the same reason I am glad that the Star Wars new trilogy and possibly a new Indiana Jones will be made:  I want more new good content.  That cannot happen without an attempt.  If the game does not have a confusing plot line and terrible battle system like FFXIII but rather is done well and looks entertaining, I will likely buy it.  If it is poorly done...FFXIII has already soured me to new FF games anyways.

CAN ANYBODY PLEASE TELL ME WHY FINAL FANTASY 5 IS THE ONLY FINAL FANTASY UP TO 9 THAT WILL NOT TRANSFER OVER TO MY PSVITA?
