New Conan games incoming

@feleas Unsurprisingly, you missed the point; it's not a matter of age, just mentality. Which of course is something that will be all the more apparent the more I have to drag this out and explain the most basic of concepts to you.

If they fix the combat and almost everything else of the console Conan it would of actually been good but the combat was really sluggish the game was so bad, you cant help but feel bad for the poor bastards that paid 60$ for that game.

I hope they make it like the THQ game, that was actually really fun and could have been big if they had put a bit more work into it.

Ahaha, Jason Momoa as Conan? If only it was a joke. Hopefully they don't change Conan from the games to Momoa's likeness, because that was not the way Howard intended.

Hollywood has so lost it...a new Conan movie? With that guy as the lead...fail. Looks like something that should show up on Syfy between wrestling shows. At this point skeptical of all games that involve Conan.

So I just Googled Jason Momoa. That is NOT Conan. He better be one hell of an actor.

@method115 no you don't get it Triple H wasn't going to play Conan he was going to play the son of Conan Arnold still would have been in it. Personally I would have love to sit but if it was to good the Game might have left wrestling to pursue an acting career so I guess it's good it never happened.

Sounds good to me. Never played the MMO (I don't play any MMOs) but enjoyed the THQ title for what it was... A hack and slash with a avg story, good voice work (minus Conan), and lots of naked boobs. Looking forward to any new Conan title and hopefully they won' tone it done for a bigger audience.

But I just don't like people who pop-up randomly to diss something and say "OH MY fav thing >>>THIS" I see that a lot on GS, and its ridiculous and annoying

WOW the 2007 Conan game was a "Hot Mess"!

I have no clue what Dante's preference is, but no matter what it is I enjoyed Devil May Cry; Kratos is a cry baby? Yeah, like none of us get angry when life doesn't go our way; I liked Conan the game. It was a weak GoW clone, but I had fun with it anyway. Men were manly in the '80s? Have you not seen the clothes men wore in the 80s?

The 2007 game was atrocious, seriously boring. I like Conan though, so I hope for a good game at some point!

If they make a game like that THQ's 2007 title, I'm sold. I actually really enjoyed playing that one!! This time they totally need to add a small talking phoenix sidekick that disappears on Conan's shield. I know it's not official Conan canon, but I loved it in the cartoon. :P

@eyerok So you're saying that two of the franchises that have the biggest cult following in gaming have crap main characters that nobody likes. Well shows how much you know about gaming. You think Conan "manly" and you call DANTE gay Yeah your precious little series isn't working out so well because people aren't as manly as they were back in your day. Just keep telling yourself that while the real world enjoys the present/future.

you know if they make Conan into a RPG game that would be awesome!! i mean real like RPG like you actually play one of them scene in conan series and that means sex with gorgeous woman!!! Sex sales...don't blame me either I didn't put the sexy half naked heroine in the series the first place.

I would like the next game to use ideas from the books, not the movies or comics. THQ's Conan was ok, but the final boss fight was terrible. He used magic in THQ's game which irritated me. Conan hates wizards, sorcerers, witches and all beings that rely on magic. Not including magical attacks will be a challenge. All developers use it in games like this, but I hope it is never featured in the next Conan game. Ugh, if a movie is indeed being produced, we can expect a horrible video game tie-in. I would also like looting and weapons and armor customization. I read many of the novels including the Robert E. Howard stories. Conan will help himself to the spoils of war. Bah, we will never see any of this in the game.

I enjoyed the game on my 360 and wouldn't mind a sequel :)

THQ's Conan game was awesome - blood, boobs and killer combos. I would buy a sequel the moment it hit the shelves. That being said, Conan is probably one of fantasy literature's most underestimated characters, as he's so much more than just brawn. A game that took the character seriously could end up being indeed a very interesting gaming experience. But more boobs will do just fine ;)

hmmmm interesting .... a movie for next year

An open ended ACTION game would work so well for the Conan universe. Take the combat of Severance (aka Blade of DarknesS) which imo is hands down the BEST melee combat system (and quite gory/fitting for Conan as well) and the open world style of the TES games but with the atmosphere and things from the Conan stories and it would be a critical hit. It's a shame, we'll prolly get another God of War rip off or some ocheaper linear action game.

@Marky360 Not me. I'm glad it never happened I'm already pissed about the new Conan coming. Arnold captured the role and looked amazing doing it. I have a hard time picturing anyone else playing Conan.

I read this one interview with Triple H were he said Hollywood was planning on doing a son of Conan movie where he would play Conan's son and Arnold would play Conan but the movie deal fell through. I wish they had actually made that movie
