See 50 new screenshots taken from the newly released finale to BioWare's superlative fantasy role-playing series.
Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal, Interplay's official expansion to last year's highly acclaimed fantasy role-playing game Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn, is now available in stores. GameSpot will publish a full review of the expansion tomorrow at 3:30pm PST, but in the meantime, we've posted 50 new high-resolution screenshots taken from various points throughout this epic game. Warning: Some of these may contain minor spoilers, so viewer discretion is advised.
Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal picks up shortly after the conclusion of Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn. It ties together the events from that game and the original Baldur's Gate, and it brings the epic story of the series to a close. It appends an eighth, ninth, and 10th chapter to the end of Baldur's Gate II, and it also adds a sprawling new dungeon--Watcher's Keep--to the world of the game.
Throne of Bhaal also adds new high-level abilities to player characters, as well as plenty of new spells and magical items. It lets characters reach a maximum experience level of 40, which is near-godlike status in the world of Dungeons & Dragons. Look for our review of the game tomorrow, at which time we'll also publish gameplay movies, a full video review, and even more screens. In the meantime, if you want to get a taste of what's in store, check out these new images taken from the game.
