Neocron ships in the UK

CDV Software has today shipped copies of Neocron to stores throughout the UK. The massively multiplayer online RPG was released in Germany earlier this month and will go on sale in the UK on October 18.

"With broadband now delivering high-speed Internet access to over 1,000,000 homes in the UK, it's time for massively multiplayer gaming to truly come of age--and Neocron is the perfect title to kick-start this revolution," said Terry Malham, president of CDV Software Entertainment UK. "It is a game unlike any other, and we can't wait to see how UK games players react to its arrival."

In the futuristic metropolis of Neocron, players will live in virtual apartments and can earn virtual credits by completing missions and tasks. Conflict and combat will have a role to play, though, and players will be able to join political factions or even a biker gang if they so wish.
