NCAA Football 12 two-week sales surge to 700,000

this year's game is the worst NCAA i've played...but i still enjoy it :) Passing is so bad this year :lol:

I buy NCAA football every year because I love college football and the game has been improving...I dont buy madden....and I buy NHL every other year. I may be wrong but I think the 2 parts of EA's sport game dominance are 1: they are the best choice...and 2: I think they have deals with the leagues and NCAA to do this all.....that makes it hard for outside publishers to develope a sports game that will make enough money to justify the investment needed to battle against EA.

If I wanted to play football, I'd go outside.

@McNeelyJ39 I'd agree with you, but EA is constantly shutting down servers, and those are usually games that are 2 years old.

i don't see the point of buying these games more than once every 3 years...no feature set sells me that any of these games takes a large enough step. Bring 2K football back and maybe we'll see an investment in innovation and quality.

Part of me suspects EA is blowing a bunch of hot air. 12 is hardly different from 11 except some blocking and defense tweaks. I wish I could say these games were great, but without competition they've been stagnant year after year after year. EA fans need 2K as bad as 2K fans do!

And in other news, quality games displaying superb execution and innovation continue to sell poorly, forcing talented developers to lose financial support and inevitably close up shop.

When is 2K Football coming back again? lol!! Aren't people tired of EA's football games by now? I never even bother playing NCAA Football. I have Madden 10 and before that Madden 6 I think, but that's it. I still find myself going back to NFL 2K5 however.

Looks like the "zombie nation" is back blowing $60 on roster updates. Stand up guys = stop buying this junk.

It's not a bad game, but not worth $60 for me. Thank goodness for Gamefly. Too many bugs, it freezes way too much, and the pass defense was difficult due to cheap AI.

NCAA 12 is so full of bugs it's amazing. It's like they never even bothered play testing it. I love playing these games every year, but man this year's version has been frustrating.

I guess there was some frustration over the NFL walkout-lawsuit/lockout and some sports fans just pinned their hopes for fall on the college game.
