Vrunner, why dont you stick with your 5 on 5 NBA Jam games (NBA Live) and those of us who prefer a little bit of realism in their hoops games will continue to go with the 2K series.
NBA 2K7 demo slams XBL
Gamers can now run the court with 2K Sports' pro basketball simulation; demo takes up 1GB of disc space, features Mavs, Heat.
Xbox 360 sports demos have been in plentiful supply lately. Gamers got to try out Madden NFL 07 a few weeks ago, and this week saw demos for hockey games from both Electronic Arts and 2K Sports.
Today, one more jock-tastic game joined the ranks of the free trials for Microsoft's next-generation console--a demo of NBA 2K7 was released on Xbox Live Marketplace.
The demo features the option of playing either as the NBA champion Miami Heat or as the runner-up Dallas Mavericks, and play is limited to one four-minute quarter. Like the NHL 2K7 demo before it, the sample of NBA 2K7 weighs in at a Shaq-like 1GB.
NBA 2K7 will be released on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, and Xbox on September 25. The game is rated E for Everyone and retails for $59.99 on the Xbox 360 and $29.99 on current-gen systems. A PlayStation 3 version is also in development. For more information, read GameSpot's previous coverage.
