NBA 2K12 GOTY hitting Best Buy March 11

Take-Two partners with retail giant for $50 edition of basketball sim that includes Legend's Showcase add-on and poster featuring Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, and Larry Bird.
NBA 2K12 will soon have new life. Today, publisher Take-Two announced that a Game of the Year edition of the well-received basketball simulator will arrive for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 exclusively at Best Buy on March 11.
The NBA 2K12 Game of the Year Edition will retail for $50 and include the previously released Legend's Showcase add-on, as well as a poster featuring Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, and Larry Bird. According to Take-Two, it will be available for a limited time only.
No mention was made as to whether or not the NBA 2K12 Game of the Year edition will be available outside of Best Buy.
Developed by Visual Concepts, NBA 2K12 was originally released in October and went on to sell more than 4 million units. For more on the title, check out GameSpot's review.

Game of the year.... do they realize we are only in the 2nd month out of 12. What the heck, if your gonna go big why not just call it Game of the Decade?
It probably won game of the year for sports games. Plus, there are so many different sites and magazines that have those awards, numerous games can claim "game of the year".
What decides Game of the Year Editions? I thought Skyrim won a bunch of them where did this game win any? I'm sure it is a good game though.
Now I'm torn.... I planned on getting the new MLB 2K game because one of the versions comes with NBA 2K12 for only an additional $10. I don't even like baseball that much, but the deal was looking too good to pass up. Then again, it is Best Buy. I'll probably go to pick up this GOTY version of 2K12 and they'll tell me that they're out, "but here are some other games you might be interested in".
It's a great game, but what outlets gave it Game of the Year? I'm sure it won a few for Sports Game of the Year, but typically, you need to win a bunch in order to tout a GOTY Edition.
Is the poster really Jordan, Bird and Magic? Or is it NBA 2k12 versions of them? If its really those three posed together, that's worth half the price right there. Much love Bird, you were my childhood hero.
I have been hunting on ebay for weeks now for a low price of this game... maybe ill just spring when this comes out
@kaBoOm Is he on the recent roster update? anyway, 2K12 online structure is even worse this year. Why they deleted My Player Pick Up game and Crew mode is beyond me. Matchmaking system is horrible too.
