Naslund for NHL 2005 cover
EA announces that Markus Naslund of the Vancouver Canucks will be the cover athlete and spokesman for NHL 2005.
Electronic Arts has put Markus Naslund of the Vancouver Canucks on the cover of its upcoming NHL 2005. Naslund, an all-star left-winger, was chosen because his style of play purportedly reflects the game's innovatory open-ice control.
"Being selected as an EA Sports cover athlete is one of the most prestigious distinctions in pro sports," said Naslund. "I've been playing the EA Sports NHL series since the beginning back in the early '90s. I can't wait to be more involved with NHL 2005. It promises to be the best yet."
Currently in development at EA Canada, NHL 2005 is scheduled for release on the PC and all current-generation consoles this fall.
