 @Benny_a It's not nostalgia to consider  NES/SNES games good , it's common decency. The lack of speech? That's a feature that makes a game ''kiddy'' ? What about games like Journey with not a word spoken throughout the entire game? Music? Since it's pretty obvious it's Nintendo games most that you're talking about let's avoid the pretext that it isn't , both the Zelda and Mario franchises have had some of the most popular music of all time.  @moviequest14  Im not nostalgic nerd, I only see forwrad, I dont care about past games, I never play games more then once in my life,(same with movies BTW), of course i would like to play a full 3D remake of FF6 or 7.

 its the feel about the games, when I see a game i can tell you imidietly if its kiddy or not, its the colors, the character desghin, the speech (or lack of it), the music, its a combination of everything

I'm also really glad we muddled through all those horrible non-normal games until we got to the past 3 (or 2 if you consider that n64/ps1 games weren't ''normal'' either) generations. You're proving your claim to be ''30+'' more and more bogus by the minute , the reason I call bs on that is because noone of full mental capability would throw such an insult towards the generation they were raised in and played in. No, you confusing apples with oranges, its Not about ratings, gore or sex.

Its about general feel of the game, Mario, Zelda, Pikmin, Metroid, Kirby, have this feel about them that they for kids.

Very colorful and overly cute, even metroids and zeldas monsters are not monsters but stylized caricatures..

 @Benny_a So , according to your logic , Portal and Portal 2 , Civilization __ , minecraft , Journey , World of Goo , Ico Shadow Colossus , The Sims , Rayman Origins , etc. are all kids games and anyone that plays them are infantiles , etc. ? None of them have a lot (if at all) of violence , gore , $ex , etc.  so according to your logic they're all not mature games and anyone that plays them is infantile? What about SNES era (which if you're as old as you say you are you should've played at least some through)? When most of the games were some form of platforming with few ''shooters'' in 3rd person and none in first? Does that mean all of those games were infantile and for kids? What is this exact code by which a game is considered ''for kids''? Most of those games completely contradict that , most , almost all , are rated e/e10 or a very light T yet are enjoyed by many adults , some almost exclusively by adults. What about those? What if not that... just basing it off of art style? And I suppose since Ocarina of Time falls into this set of rules that you consider ''made for children'' you are saying that everyone that played that is infantile and unhealthy?

 @moviequest14 Its not our problem that kids want to play with mature games, every kid growing up wants to see and play with real gun, it doesnt mean that guns are for kids.

Kids especially boys always want to watch adult movies, adult magazines and do things that generaly adults do.

And its perfectly normal, BUT for adults to be atracked to things that made for kids is unehlthy and these people are infantiles and most of them have some sort of pedophilic tendencies.

 @BrownGrownMan  Though I find it funny how people think that because a game is rated Mature it is mature. When you walk down the street and see 2 groups of kids , the first group a group of 5 year olds actually having a normal conversation , and the second a group of 13 year olds cracking sex and s### jokes and talking gore just to outdo each other .... which group is more mature? The second group's content in their discussion would only be ''for mature audience'' but noone with half their wits would consider that group mature. To put it in a more game-centered perspective , the Portal Series is rated E (10) , but it is quite a damn bit more mature than many (most some would say) M-rated games. And on the other side Saints Row boasts an M for ''mature'' rating , but it is easily one of the most immature games I've seen (doesn't make it bad but it's the truth) as is Leisure Suit Larry , etc.''Entertainment is never made for adults that kids can enjoy too'' really? Because I was in gamestop the other day and saw a kid (8... maybe 9?) begging his older brother to get him Killzone , what about all the 12 year olds on CoD multiplayer?  @Benny_a I remember being like 12 and having to hide I was watching animes like Digimon or Pokemon, simply because kids always do that kind of stuff. After i grew up (23 years old right now) I realized it doesn't matter and I have no problem telling people I play pokemon games or find games like scribblenauts interesting.

As others said, you will understand this when you grow up, reading your comments reminded me of those 12 years old kids.

I play games to have fun , as everyone should, I like GTA, Prototype, DMC, and other M rated games, but that doesn't mean I can't have fun with an E or T rated game, like Mario or Zelda.

Reread both your and the other guy's comments, and you will see how immature you sound with the stuff you are saying, and if you can't realize that, then you definitely need to grow up, good luck.

"Interactive books" ya that sounds about right they aren't on par with any decent novel. Good video games are on par with movies not novels when it comes to story and a few games actually surpass that level of story but not many. Most video games are just time killers and to try and separate them based on art style is simply moronic.

I guess its understandable you find video game sex entertaining it's because you haven't gotten laid yet. Mean while I can play games with and with out sex because I don't have a need to prove myself to my peers. Now when you grow up some day you might realize that video games and movies with sex really aren't that entertaining. Unless of course you completely fail at life and never manage to get laid....

Come back when you graduate high school. Also you make all non-religious people(doesn't necessarily mean atheist) look like kids... The only people that feel the need to play "mature" games are insecure adults and little children trying to be grown up but those of us that are normal prefer to play what's fun. I've played everything from GTA(not really mature but it does push social limits which you seem to view as mature) to Mario. Only real difference between the games is art style. But hey if you are so insecure that you only play games with sex that's your problem.
