Most won't finish Hitman: Absolution, says director

I Installed The Game 1st day and finished it in 3rd day,,,Only 3 Days Game finished..When playing 3 to 4 Hours Daily....Hitman Is my One of Favirate game I finished all series of it........

it's not our fault. only those who are very patient finish these games. i'm not the patient type, i have little patience and this is why i deleted this game.

You bet every last dollar that I'm gonna 100% it. I am going to love this game! 47 fan till the end!! I wish they would bring all the Hitman from ps2 to xbox360 with graphics improved of course.

The meaning of Hitman game is to be difficult. So I absolutely agree with you!

After all, whats the point of pointless roam around levels while you finish it without problems.

And one question of course, why should the developers are sad? Why is the difficulty level then? Couldn't they just create easy difficulty where the enemy vision and sound sense is shorter, where the enemy aims bad and does less damage, where there are less enemies, and where the objective is going to bi simpler? Of course they could and should work on this matter and it will makes the IO team happy!

As zt76831 said, why all games are focusing on casual public, no wander that there is under 1% quality games in past 5-6 years, because everything focuses on console aka casual players.

One more things, as far as i noticed, developers / publishers eather could not understand or they really do not care (which i think is true) about the fans of the game franchise and about all those hardcore gamers who bought all previous games and they`ve made that game actually blockbuster, so instead of focusing new game on the real gamers who deserve that, they are focusing on 12 years old casual console public where the profit is.

Seriously, though, why the hell would anybody drop $60 on a game, just to drop it after a few hours?

What the hell? I for one, make it a pint to take everything the game offers. Sure I don't do every little side quest and finish all of riddlers riddles and trophies in Batman Arkham City, but I certainly finish the campaign and most of the side quests. I mean why buy it if you dont even want your money's worth? Lol I don't get it.

Its the mainstream shooter gamers that cant hold down a game for more then a couple of hours, not us!

There are alot of gamers out there that spend 100+ hours on there games, most of them are senior gamers that are not new to gaming. Most newer gamers are in the mainstream shooter base.

To the shooter based gamer I say this...This game (hitman) is NOT for you. It requires time and patience, basically it is not a shooter.

could mean a good thing or a bad thing. depending on the gamers they chose maybe it's a good thing. Because its gonna be a long game? or it could mean it's repetitive. he said they were fatigued i hope it's not boring.

in making a hitman game... there comes a sense of responsibility to do justice to the series..

Well.. he is very true.. a lot of people myself included do not finish a game. entirely and leave it after being tired.. like i completed the story fully in batman arkham city.. but didnt do rest of extra activities fully.

But let me tell you one thing i finished hitman blood money completely even after investing so many hours in levels and i started with medium lel and never went below it. and i am 100 % sure that i will surely finish hitman absolution completely coz i am in love with hitman series.. and i think a lot of people like me will do the same. consider the percentage of people finishing the game to be 80% instead of 20%, provided you made the game well. and i hope you must have made this game awesome otherwise you won't know what hit you Devs..

It depends on what he means. For instance I always finish the games i play. But I dont always go back and do every little extra thing that games have now days.

i think its stupid that he just kind of throws that number out there and then never really explains why that would even be the case. is it because of how long the story is? side-missions? what? if it has a lot of content at least be proud of that. it wouldn't be a bad thing.

It just adds Value to the Hardcore Hitman Follower. But then again this article was written last summer.  So we'll see on the 20th.

It fascinates me how no one knows how to read anymore. He clearly says "It?s not just for this game, it?s for any game.? Look at games like Fallout 3 and Batman Arkham Asylum, I know quite a few people who totally blew off the side missions in Fallout 3, and others who didn't even bother going back to play Arkham Asylum in order to solve The Riddler's riddles or find the collectibles. That's what he is talking about here. Most people will finish the main story, but very few people will take the time to go back and complete the in-game challenges. Remember that secret ending to Blood Money, how many people still think that it really is 47's funeral? Tons of people. I've met a lot of people who still believe that he died in the last game. Only people who truly took the time to complete the game would know the truth and what really happened to 47. That is what finishing the game means, not just finishing the story mode but doing everything else as well. By the way, I am a part of the 20% and guess what, you really can't finish the game anyway, because Contracts Mode has the potential to make the game ENDLESS.

IM GONNA beat this game not only once or twice, but as many times as a new way to get the job done comes across, freakin looove hitman!

kinda like Assassins' Creed 2, god that game was boring, I never finished it.

this is absolutely bullshit, why wouldnt everyone finish the game if they buy they will finish it? like i have done with every single game i have ever bought since ps1 so he cant really be saying that since everyone will want to see what happens with Diana and 47 and the clone maker dude so keep on talking bullshit 'Game Director'...

The only think that can be frustrating enough to have people quit is not the length of the game. I just spent 90 hours to finish the old witcher xD. What makes people quit is console ported games that do not allow you to save. So you have to spend an entire mission without being able to save then do it over and over and over. Because it was made for a 100 dollar xbox not a PC.I promise to play every ounce of hitman just like I did 10 years ago but please do not complain if people get bored of the checkpoint saving repetition. If are too lazy to allow quicksave they are too lazy to finish.

This is ABSOLUTELY a marketing hit piece designed to improve sales of this game.  How would the be able to get this data?  Are they spying on you while you play the game?  If so, then there is a larger issue here than finishing the game.  Finally, what should he or any developer care about whether you finish it or not, they got your money.

What fool spends $60+ and does not play the game to the end.  If they have money to give away, I will gladly take it.  I play all games to the end, no exceptions.  I purchase the game because I expected it to provide enjoyment for the money I spent, not to say I played some of the game.  The pride is in finishing the game.

They need to tell their director to keep his mouth shut!! Hitman fans finish Hitman games PERIOD we arent buying the games to play multiplayer. Those types of games people dont even bother with the campaign mode.  Hitman u play for the missions and storyline.  Same with Assassin's Creed and Grand Theft Auto.  Now if the director thinks his latest game sucks, then he should postpone releasing it.

Such a negative outlook on your own game. Oh well, I love this franchise and you can bet that I for one will be finishing it and will most likely go 1000/1000 on this mofo. Can't wait for this to come out. Personally its my most anticipated game this year.
