Mortal Kombat intros DLC Season Pass

Personally, i prefer them making some DLC and paying a very small and pathetic price for a character rather than wasting another 60$ on the exact same game which might include those characters. DLC is an improvement AND a money-saver in most cases.

are the downloadable characters:Rain, Skarlet, Kenshi and the unknown?

I want to know the fourth mystery character!

Paying that amount of money for some characters that should have been included with the retail version? Ridiculous. They've taken this DLC stuff too far.

Pretty pricey for only 4 characters.

@Dinosaur_Cop Sorry but no, 5$ for ONE character is a rip off.. you get the whole game for 60$ or less now. I'm not paying 20$ for four characters. You can buy a lot of other things with 20$. And I would rather not eat at McDonalds since I would like my organs not to shut down.

Better than street fighter adding a few characters and selling it for 40 or 50 dollars and then dlc for new costumes which is even more money

One more thing it is $4.99 for the DLC and not $1.99 or $2.99 it is $4.99 thats it, I read some comments here that people are saying its not really $4.99 etc... well it is sorry.

I just got the DLC Skarlet and I like her, she does have a ending on the arcade later and you can see a empty spot were she was chained up in Shao Kahns level, I didnt replay it with a diff. character to see if she is chained back up when not playing as her, but she does handle good better then Kratos anyway. Kratos is slow and sluggish well at lease thats want I thank.

Boy you nerds sure hate having to pay for stuff. It's 15 dollars for chrissake. Mow the lawn. Get a job. Skip your next trip to McDonald's. If you're complaining that 15 bucks is breaking you, you're probably still young enough that you can get away with opening a lemonade stand. So there you go, you can have that one for free.

double count me out, because i own a ps3. no dlc at all in MK for me.

The problem is would have no problem with the DLC if it wasn't merely just $ 20 total for characters. I rather also get additional content like a tournament mode, Vs mode against the cpu instead always having to play arcade ladder, and replays. Hell it would also be nice if they fixed the lag issues as well. I play other fighters with no lag in Blazblue or Super Street Fighter 4 ever!!! So they really need to fix this along give us more just fighters especially when we already gave them good money for games and fightsticks!!! I am sorry for bringing up the online issues but when I play Killzone 3, Halo Reach, and anything else that uses Unreal 3 or Havoc with no headache (lag) it disappoints me alot. Despite that I still love this game.

It's pretty ridiculous that anyone who says anything positive about DLC gets 10 thumbs down. Go ahead and thumb away, people, it's not going to stop DLC.

Guys don't lie and say these characters were supposed to be in the game. If you look at story mode, they dont fit at all. These were made AS the game went gold, as such, are not fully in the game. You guys will say anything to justify a 1200 point deal(which, by the way is a pretty good effin deal.).

This is pissing me off, I have my money ready, why do I have to wait until Tuesday to get Scarlet? What the hell? @cubachino, while I agree that $5 is a little high (but not high enough to deter me from purchasing them) one problem with your iTunes analogy is that Apple is just selling you the songs, they had no part in their creation.

Remember back in the "before times" when you used to have to do certain things to unlock all the "extra characters"... remember how it was free? ... :( lol

EA games includes the DLC on the disc, then releases it later making it seem like there working on it during that time... Its been proven too, Shift 2 included the legends DLC in its files, but it was unactivated.

DLC characters/maps/weapons are an absolute waste of money. The fact of the matter is, content like this should ship with the game (and in some cases it does, i.e. MvC 3's Jill and Shuma). 99% of DLC nowadays feel like they are merely patching the game for a more complete experience, not actually adding anything new in terms of said experience.

$5 for a character? What is this, EA games?

I really don't mind paying,even the PS3 prices, for DLC on the fighting game with the most content I've ever purchased. Not to mention the best of the year!

I probably won't get it as soon as it's released, but I'll definately take the deal. Kind of does suck for the PS3 guys though, one exclusive who kind of sucks(I have played on the PS3 version before.) I like the game enough to throw my money at them for unlock codes, but that's just me. I just want Rain and the Retro Costumes.

@frankblack789- take your own advice and read the article again. the pricing is the only thing exclusive. everybody is going to get the same characters. i however, will wait for them to release bundles of characters and skins at a cheaper price after some time has passed. just like with ssf4.

Was gunna buy all the dlc anyway, though I hope there will b more characters than just 4, bringing back Drahmin, Havik, Frost, Bo'Rai Cho, Mavado or even Shinnok would b equally badass

im alittle confused so dose this mean whenever a bundle comes out with all four characters xbox gets it for 5 bucks less or dose it mean skarlet is just going to be free for xbox then the rest are gonna be 5 bucks?

Shameful money grab. The ******* nerve of these guys trying to get a extra $15 after someone already paid $60 for the game makes me sick.

where the this dlc thing comes from? i miss Sega Genesis. all garbages in cartridges. and we were so happy

whatever. ill just wait it out til they sell it as a (cheaper) bundle on the psn. not like im going to be using them on their completely broken online anyways. i mean when its all said and done, this game is going to end up costing us over a hundo. cuz you know theres more costumes and possibly pits as well. this new trend in breaking down gamers and nickel n dimeing us on supposed "new" content makes me sick. the majority of this stuff is already on the disk is whats even more shameful.

I am going to get this game eventually. Looks like its worth the money from all the reviews I have read on it....Wish Xbox had an exclusive player though like ps3 had Kratos, but I guess they trying to make up for it with the season pass?...Who would be the exclusive player for xbox anyway? Marcus Fenix?...

Why are they calling it a season pass? Didn't these used to be called packs? Does the DLC disappear after a few months? The only difference I can tell is that they're now being paid in advance for work that might NOT make it out the chute in time, or might arrive bugged and otherwise unmarketable.

@rehtycs29 But that's not the case, here. Mortal Kombat shipped as one of the most packed fighting game experiences you could have asked for in a $60 game. From the long and rather funny story mode, to the large number of characters, to the approachable training modes, to the lengthy challenge tower, to the wealth of unlockables, to not only two but four-player modes all included... There is a ton of content in this game. The new DLC is just looking to add to it. I absolutely feel like I got my money's worth with Mortal Kombat, and I believe that this is DLC done right. It might be a little overpriced, granted, but I'm really looking forward to it. I mean, my friends and I STILL play this game all the time. Compare this to the pithy offerings of Marvel vs Capcom 3, where you can buy new "Shadow Battles," after purchasing a bare-bones experience, and I believe that Netherealm is trying to do right by their audience.

Who cares, we have kratos.

This deal along with not being able to play online for almost a month...I'm really regretting buying this game on the PS3. I also love the people saying that the PS3 version has Kratos so PS3 owners should pay more. The PS3 version of LA Noire came with extra dlc and it isn't like Rockstar are charging more for their pass. Not offering this to all owners of the game is foolish. Also the fact that online play is still broken in this game after 2 months makes this feel like one big joke.

personally im not a big fan of dlc.....u purchase a fully priced game that's essentially incomplete

So I support you by purchasing your game on day one for $60. And now you want to entice me to spend another $20 on a measly four characters and another I don't know how much on retro outfits for the rest of the in game fighters (which by the way could have been included in the game from the get)? Well F you too! Apple sells music for $1.29 a song and they are doing just fine. Maybe you should heed their pricing model. Instead of trying to rip-off those who have already supported you. You get nothing from me "You weak pathetic fools. Your nothing!"
