Mortal Kombat HD Arcade Kollection brutalizing November - Retail Radar
GAME's, GameStop's online databases indicate WBIE will release remastered versions of Midway's famed violent fighters on PS3 in time for Thanksgiving.
HD collections have become an increasingly popular trend on the PlayStation 3 after Sony bundled up the first two God of War titles for a rerelease last year. With the Sly Cooper remastering slated to arrive this fall and the Team Ico Collection due next year, it appears as if Warner Bros. Interactive will also be getting in on the HD collection action, if retailer listings from the US and UK are to be believed.
Currently, UK retailer GAME is listing the Mortal Kombat HD Arcade Kollection for a PlayStation 3 release in November, priced at £49.99 ($78.12). Oddly, GAME is currently running a promotion on the unannounced game that drops its price to £39.99 ($62.50).
GAME's listing is bolstered by a since-pulled product page in US retailer GameStop's online database. Captured by Mortal Kombat enthusiast site TRMK before its removal, the product page for the Mortal Kombat HD Arcade Kollection has it listed for the PS3, carrying a $39.99 price tag. According to GameStop, the game can be expected to ship on November 16.
Additional details on what the Mortal Kombat HD Arcade Kollection contains were not revealed by either listing. WBIE had not responded to requests for comment on the product spaces as of press time.
