I knew this would happen. I don't think there's anything wrong with it. It's not a new game. The same disc with DLC codes. Why is everyone going nuts? This is nothing like Capcom.

What absolutely sucks about this is that its the DLC pasted on the disc and NetherRealm Studios and Ed Boon are just charging gamers $40 bucks for it instead of going back and FIXING the bugs that crash the game, balancing issues with certain charaters and balancing and making playable Shao Kahn, Goro and Kintaro and at least TRY to make Motaro workable instead of being such lazy game devs. Also they could revamp teh challenge tower by adding MORE challenges as well as adding more stages and stage fatalities. Its too bad that NRS will never learn about fixing their game like Capcom has, at least Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Ed is the best version, they could have done that with MK.

I agree! Where's the PC version? I own the game on my Xbox 360, but I would still love to get it for the computer so that I can eliminate all of those ugly jaggies!

I only see three kinds of people buying this; people who don't own the game or its DLC already, tool-bag fans who collect junk, and morons.

This was an unexpected move by Mortal Kombat. I thought only Capcom do such things.

I think Jason from Friday the 13th would have been a nice fit for this game as well ..

To all the people who think they are being greedy, people are buying the complete or GOTY editions of games, so why wouldn't they make them? If people buy them, they want them, so the company makes them. If people didn't want them they wouldn't sell, and wouldn't be made.

@SupremeGR Or, you know, they made DLC for the game and decided to re-release the game with the DLC for people who don't have or can't buy the DLC or don't have the game at all. It's not like all of the DLC for the game was made when the game was first launched.

Well well well, interesting move Warner Bros. But I already have MK9. Don't care much for DLC characters, fatalities, and don't care much for "Klassic" skins, nor do I care for the movie. As for the songs... HELL NO! This is the only game I didn't expect such thing from. I'm glad I did wait for UMVC3, SSFIV:AE, and KOFXIII though. I don't feel cheated anyways. To be honest though, it seems like it's for people with no internet since they can't buy the DLC. As long as it's not $40, I'm okay. Because that would mean that I payed for MK9 (which was $40 for me since I bought it months after release) and that I still have to buy some DLC in addition, (if I chose to) which would be over $40. Then I would feel cheated, regardless if I buy the DLC or not for vanilla.

@onelessvillian It only applies to hard K sounds. @AmnesiaHaze And, MK came out how many months ago? But, no one ever thinks about frivolous spending, like, spending 7 bucks at mc donalds, or going to the store to get a gallon of fruit juice drink, or, the five bucks you let your friend "hold," and, will never see again. By the time all is said and done, that's 100 bucks you're out. So, where's the logic in saving 20 bucks on something when you have to wait so long for it, and wasting money on other things in the process (That you apparently didn't care to lose, so, why is it any different now?). I'm glad I got MK on release day. You know why? Because it was a game I wanted. Besides, windows of opportunity change. If I had waiting for Mortal Kombat after all this time, not only would I be used to the fact of me not owning it, and become less likely to buy it. But, if I had that 60 bucks, I'd spend it on something more important right now. I only got Skarlet as DLC, and I'm not remotely interested in the other three. I'm completely satisfied and don't want the extra stuff, so, I'm not missing out. Two sides of the argument, I know, but, buying on release day does have it's perks (sometimes)

@chris707 Umm.... You do realize that Rockstar released complete editions for Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto IV, and L.A. Noire, right?

@greedy publishers, just continue this way and you will wonder why noone buys your games at launch anymore, paying for overpriced inkomplete games isnt cool

A very wise man once said, "I pity the foo' who buys games on release day!" I have learned to wait, I get a cheaper game with way more content.

Thats why Rockstar is king of releasing DLC and extra material.

I really hope this game comes for PC. Console owners got to enjoy this game, and since then we PC gamers have been begging Boon to release it for PC. I dont care if it doesnt have all the DLC characters for PC version all i want is to enjoy the game :(

I loved this game but it's not worth re-buying for a few new character's I never got around to downloading. I may if the price goes down to 20ish but for now around the corner of the MK Komplete Edition is Mass Effect 3, Silent Hill Downpour and Xenoblade Chronicles soon after that. I'm going to buy those games I didn't play yet. I can't waist money on games I already own when there are so many new ones on the way.

The original Mortal Kombat movie is awesome, I'll definitely get this for the classic ninjas since I never got them as DLC.

I'm really liking this trend where we have the game released and then a year later we get another edition with all dlc. And what's best is they are usually $40. I'm looking forward to a skyrim goty

@SolidTy: Words of truth, lad. I've intentionally missed out on Gears 3, Arkham City and MK because I know a GOTY or Complete Edition would see the light of day sooner or later.

Characters like Kratos, Reptile, and Kitana made and continue to make outstanding characters.

i bought the original mk9.............will i get the dlc free????
