Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon to headline EB Expo 2012

The creative director of NetherRealm Studios and co-creator of fighting game franchise Mortal Kombat, Ed Boon, will be headlining at this year’s EB Expo in Sydney. He will be showcasing Injustice: Gods Among Us, a fighting game featuring characters from the DC Comics universe.

The game will be presented by Boon on Friday, October 5, at 11 a.m., with show attendees having the opportunity for hands-on play with the game at the Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment booth.

EB Games Expo 2012 is dedicated to gaming and geek culture, and will be open to the general public who purchase tickets. The event officially opens on October 5 and runs until October 7, and gives Aussies a chance to check out some of the big-name games that will be shipping later this year and further into the future.

Injustice: Gods Among Us is set for release in 2013, and will feature a pantheon of DC staples, with the currently revealed roster already including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Harley Quinn, Solomon Grundy, Catwoman, Nightwing, and Cyborg.
