The tournaments will feature World of Tanks on PC, and kick off from September 14. The event will be open to World of Tanks players in the Oceanic region and will be hosted online.

Further details surrounding the tournaments, including registration, dates, and prizes, are to be announced "soon" on the ESL Australia website.

MOL Global president for global operations Craig White attributed the initiative to the growth of the eSports community in Australia and New Zealand, saying, "MOL is proud to work with Wargaming and ESL Australia to support the blooming eSports community across the region. At the same time, we are excited in extending our e-commerce services to both organisations' users."

World of Tanks is an online multiplayer free-to-play game that sees players battle against one another through the use of armoured tanks. According to Wargaming.net, the game currently boasts over 50 million registered users. The game was well received in GameSpot's review, praised for its accessibility and vehicle options.
