MLG partners with Warner Bros to launch Infinite Crisis exhibition

Major League Gaming teams up with Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment and Turbine Inc to launch Infinite Crisis into the eSports scene.

North American eSports organisation Major League Gaming (MLG) has teamed up with Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment and developer Turbine Inc to introduce Infinite Crisis to the competitive gaming scene.

An announcement posted on the MLG website reveals details of the partnership, which officially kicks off at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) on June 11 this year. Professional gaming teams Complexity and Curse Academy will compete in an Infinite Crisis tournament live at the event.

Gamers who wish to watch the matches can check out the full schedule on the MLG website. The live stream will be hosted at the MLG and Infinite Crisis sites.

Infinite Crisis is an upcoming free-to-play MOBA game set across the 52 universes of the DC multiverse. Developer Turbine Inc.has revealed steampunk and postapocalyptic-themed stages. The game also features map-specific interactive elements, such as throwing cars or calling down meteor showers.

Infinite Crisis will be available exclusively on PC later this year.

@DarkSaber2k Guess they really want him too look more bat like. He looks sorta similar in the new Justice League Flashpoint movie from the trailer I saw yesterday.

Their current map is quite boring. It similar to Dominion which is not popular.

They need a more interesting map.

Its funny because unless DC and WB are willing to spend a lot of cash to support the game and have a very well defied long term plan (years) to support this game there is no chance they are snatching anything bigger than a few scraps of the MOBA community that is already established on Dota2 and LoL.

How many failed MOBA games would they need to see fail to realize that without the commitment to support this kind of game on a very long period of time there is no chance of success?

I mean, I don't doubt they can release something decent, heck they may even get something good, but if they go in with the standard mentality of getting a quick cash grab then forget about the game in a few months (like 90% of the games do) there is no way to succeed.

Awesome bats picture... Too bad the game-type and gameplay looks average to me.... I would totally snatch up a spidey shattered dimensions-esque batman infinite crisis game though... Someone get working on that, ASAP.

We already have enough MOBAs in the esports scene, I don't think this one is gonna rise up to the popularity of the others.

I like the idea of a DC based MOBA, but I just don't see this competing with League of Legends or Dota 2
