A second retailer listing for Mirror's Edge 2 has emerged. A since-removed product page on Amazon's Italian arm suggests the sequel to the 2008 free-running game is coming exclusively to Xbox One.
Microsoft has pledged to release 15 Xbox One-exclusive titles during the platform's first 12 months, eight of which will be all-new franchises.
The listing has since been removed, though OXM was able to capture it.
Last week, Amazon's German branch listed Mirror's Edge 2 for Xbox 360. A company representative told GameSpot at the time, "We appreciate fan enthusiasm for Mirror’s Edge, especially fans throughout the retail channel. This is not official EA material. We have nothing to announce at this time."
If Mirror's Edge 2 is in fact in development, it won't be much of a surprise. Former DICE developer Ben Cousins said in November that it is "general knowledge" in Stockholm (where DICE is located) that the game is in production.

I don't think Dice should milk BF like Activision and IW does with CoD. I don't either like BF because of hp regen and iron sights but Mirror's Edge is something else. It shows these guys at Dice know how to develop and create innovative quality but EA knows how to mostly f**k up everything. Forexample that BF milking and it being so similar to CoD. If you let Dice remove hp regen and iron sights even i will buy BF, but because it's so similar to CoD, no buy.
@Valen_Ca Nothing can make me buy that pile of crap. I swear if Microsoft is throwing money around to have companies NOT MAKE GAMES, I'm ready to just quit gaming altogether. I have my past consoles. They're plenty.

Mirror's Edge made me buy a PC. Will Mirror's Edge 2 make me buy a xboxONE? No I'm not planning on buying xone, I want to play this game on pc, with full freedom of keyboard+mouse.
As much as I Love an Platinum Mirrors Edge one my PS3, if Miro's Edge is Xbox One exclusive than I'll be SOL. because not buying Xbox system. Just Sony & Nintendo games appeal to me.
... Anyway, I just hope they stay true to the first game. I liked how it was based on trial and error (some might find it a down side), but imo it made me come back to it and perfect it, especially in the time trials, so satisfying when I'd beat my own record.
Sadly, lost my progress when my PS3 died lol
please don't make it too easy! I don't like when games tell you everything "now press X, now jump! now go to the left...etc." lol

two questions
1 - is the game any good? is it worthy of being exclusive based on the first one which I have never played or seen trailers
2 - what is a free-running game
1. It received praise from most people. Reviewers and gamers alike. It had stylish and original, very white and clean futuristic city visuals and unique gameplay. It didn't sell as much as they'd wanted it too though.
2. Parkour style game. You'd run across rooftops, climb stuff, try to find the best path past obstacles and people with guns. You COULD use a gun yourself but the focus was to avoid them by simply disarming opponents or run past them.
Imo it was a nice game but there should have been more path choices. Often there was just one way that was the "correct" path.
Well worth a buy if you can find a copy.
@Saketume Free-running is NOT parkour! Okay, you said "parkour style" but my angry nerd issues still went through the roof :P. Free-running is more about doing fancy acrobatics (mostly flips) while also getting across areas smoothly. Parkour is all about getting across smoothly, not caring to show off, and effectively, doing front-flips hardly ever helps you do that.
A lot of people didn't like the combat sections and it's sad that this game never got any strong modding community to get rid of or lessen that element.
Dear god if this actually happened.. I dunno! I'd do something mean to fucking Microsoft. Something very mean and heinous.
@Danny_KickAzz @LucentWolf Hell no. There is literally no game that could make me get an Xbox. I've always been a Playstation guy.
I'd flail around violently, swear a lot and make rude gestures at no one in particular. Then I'd be sad and have to go cry a little in a corner. Slowly I'd come to terms with it, then hope that one day I'd see it released from the evil hands of Microsoft. Meanwhile, plotting my revenge.

Mirror's Edge was such a great game. I had a friend sitting on my bed when I first got it and as I was playing -he- was leaning into the turns. lmao It'd be unfortunate if Mirror's Edge was an exclusive. Especially since it was multi-platform in the first place. If it was an Xbox exclusive originally, OK. Going exclusive when you started as a multi-platform isn't cool. :/

Though seriously. I'm just a Sony guy that loved Mirror's Edge on my Ps3 and I'd be sad to miss it. I don't have the money to be throwing around just buying up multiple systems. I'm the kinda guy that finds something he likes and sticks with it too, so that doesn't help.
I've always been annoyed when Microsoft buys up exclusives to games I've been enjoying for years.
@Danny_KickAzz This is exactly what happened. Or some variation of. There was much violence and ill intent. Eyes were locked in tense staring contests. Knuckles were cracked ominously. In the background there was a table with rusty sharp instruments.

EA is too greedy to do exclusives. This may be a timed exclusive but eventually will end up just like Mass Effect.
@Femto513 The timed exclusive (a month/a year) is kind of the both of best worlds then. You both get money from one company to keep it exclusive AND you can later on port and sell it to the craving masses that don't own the platform for which it was exclusive. I'd rather much prefer that option, simply because I can wait for a good game.
5 Like Mirror's Edge was the first current gen game I ever played. Looked as good as ever, even on my SD TV.
It'd be a real shame if I couldn't play the sequel.

@GOGOGOGURT Yes there is a lack of gaming focus from microsoft and that is one of the reasons to be pissed off.
The more important reasons are the always online DRM, the video, sound and biometric monitoring and info collection and the blocking of borrowed/used games.
Even if it was just the microphone alone that would be enough reason for me to stay away from it.
I'd actually love it if microsoft made an awesome console but they didn't. So I'm hating.

Since then though if you'd have been paying attention a ton of information that makes the console one of the single worst consumer products we've heard of in recent memory released.
It's no longer about the games. Microsoft could have an ocean of games at launch and it wont change the base problem. The actual console.
They still have time to address these issues which I surely hope they do. If you still have no idea what issues I'm talking about... dear lord do a simply search you'll get quite a read.

Did we not realize that it was a hardware reveal when it was announced and that the TV feature was just something for people to get a small taste? Did MS put 8 CPU cores and 8 Gb of DDR3 just for the TV feature? Does getting the XOne force people to go out back and shoot their xbox360? Does it mean that since MS PURPOSELY decide to keep many things on the hush hush mean that it wont play games along with many other features? Sure there will be a few that are fine with it, but the majority of people can see what this system could bring to our future if it ever got popular and got a grip into the mainstream.
