@lifemesiter If you have a PC, then get Minecraft for the PC. Why wait two months when you can get it right now and it will come with mods. And to your first post, technically Playstation is getting Minecraft. Just on the Xperia Play instead of the PS3.

@Eynonz No - hahaha - please don't call me a fanboy...too insulting. I just find it funny because I read the comments often and run into Sony fans talking about exclusives, then you have games like this that some of them wish were on their platform. I have a PC too, I could easily purchase it right now and play it, but I like the consoles...more comfortable sitting, relaxing on the couch. Hahahaha...later dude.

@trick_man01 Considering there are mods out there, many created by only one person, that are much better than any Minecraft updates we've had in awhile, you'd think Notch with his multi-million dollar company could be pumping quality updates at a faster rate.

MINECRAFT for XBOX! I'm waiting patiently. For those wishing it be on PS3 - LOL - enjoy those PS3 exclusives fanboys keep bragging about... but not Minecraft. :)

This game is awesome.If you ever enjoyed playing with Lego when you were a kid you'll love Minecraft. Build whatever you want, and mine for some redstone and build some machines into it too! How cool wouldn't your Lego fortress had been if it had some moving parts, enemy traps and lights to it? /Dedicated Minecraft player

@Barighm Every one of those 10 million customers paid up front for the game. Estimates late last year put sales numbers at $100k-350k per day. PER DAY.

@stEElyDaN909 I would rather the updates come slowly than being rushed and ruining the game.

If Notch has been this slow updating Minecraft while it's still in beta, i don't even want to think about how slow updates will be after it goes full retail.

I haven't been playing it lately, but that's mostly to wait until the slew of changes this year settle in. Being the first person to play with pistons doesn't appeal. ;) Anyway, can't wait for GameSpot's exclusive MineCon coverage!

I hope the majority of those 10 million people will pay for the game when it finally starts charging. Clearly the guy deserves some compensation for his talent and hard work. A lot of people complain about how boring and unoriginal games are these days. Well, here's your chance to give a great new talent all the money he could ever need to become a major dev.

This is one of the best games in years, I can't wait for the 1.8 update. I've been adventuring since alpha, and I still love it. It's not just about building, go explore a cave and forget to light up a passage way only to find a creeper sneaking up behind you and exploding. It can get intense.

@Eoino WOW, lets not get ahead of ourselves! There won't be any height limit changes to Minecraft. There will be the option to change, but it won't be made by Mojang. Having double the map height means having to spend up to double of your computer resources while playing the game. Imagine what would be like with 4x the map height!!! I don't think investing up to 4GB of RAM in Minecraft is reasonable.

i got the beta and i love minecraft a good game to play when bored as hell.

I might try it when it goes on XBLA. (At least I think it is?) Of course I still don't know whether I will dig it or not.

Minecraft is a great game and anyone who hasn't tried it already should. For the price I have got WAY more gameplay hours and fun out of it than other full priced games. Great thing is that you can do what you want, don't like building ( i'm not a big fan) go explore caves and dungeons. The adventure update will make exploring much better with the new mobs, improvements to terrain generator, ravines, 4X height limit and bigger dungeons. Gonna be epic :D Plus the community is great (as good as communities can be anyway lol) with lots of mods, texture packs and custom maps.

Oh and btw, this 'beta' is by far more polished than even a lot of fully released games. Don't let the word 'beta' scare you away from trying. It's basically a full game and they are only waiting to make it a fully 'released' when they have reached a certain amount of content which is already at a very high level with deep and creative gameplay.

This game is great. I was a big skeptic when I first heard about it and then watched youtube videos. Finally I gave it a shot after a month or two of not really knowing. Now I'm 100% completely hooked and my wife is too! We run a local server and build together. The amount of creativity and exploration is amazing, better than any other game I've played. Plus, it's constantly being updated with official updates or you have the option to play using really great mods. I'm looking forward to the release of the 'final' version and the addition of the adventure updates (npc towns, etc). Really it's a very addicting game if you just give it time.

@zidan4000 That's about it. It was interesting for a few hours but the novelty runs out real fast and then it just becomes extremely boring and repetitive. The only "excitement" comes from the monsters but their AI is so utterly non existent (all they do is come straight at you) that they end up just being annoying. People must find enjoyment in it somewhere but for the life of me I can't understand how.

why not ps3 WHY??

i don't understand the rage behind this game , i saw videos on youtube and such and it looks like a game where you can build stuff .

@iAmDeathSpank They call it a beta for liability reasons. i.e. you play at 100% your own risk with no support. It will probably be a beta forever, or until a huge publisher buys it.

I might get it for the XBox 360 or the PC later this year. Haven't decided. It's something I won't be able to play for many hours though. Just don't have the time.

I'm not the creative type, so minecraft just never appealed to me. My friends love it though.

@MuffintopX I haven't played it either. I just dont feel like spending money on a beta, i'm going to wait until the full game is released before I pick it up.
