Microsoft, Square Enix tout XBLA lineup

FFVII on the 360? Interesting idea... I think it might work but I don't know... I think it might be more likely to see the prior FFI-VI on XBLA before FFVII-IX though. Hmmm... PE Remix... I'd LOVE to see that. It's so pixelated right now that it needs to be remastered. I'd also love to see Xenogears in HD. ^_^ What I would love to see is when they EVER release PE 3 over here that they re-release 1 and 2 on the PSP with newly remastered graphics and re-calibrated controls to the analog stick.

What I would love to see, is Square Enix release a version a standalone version Triple Triad, the card game from FFVIII. I have no interest in ever playing FFVIII ever again, but I would love to play a standalone TT on my 360. There's been a number of fan remakes for online p vs p play, but I would prefer to play p vs c, with a card collecting system. That's a game I would buy for $10-$15.

lmao Gran Turismo Prolgoue is over a year old an they have improved it soooo much. THey have 1000 cars in it 70 tracks, amazing graphics, nascar, offroad, damage on cars now an even more. the guy below me doesnt know what is talking about and why are we even talking about GT5 anyways. I guess somebody just wanted to start a console war or something.

@funbunny You are 100% correct Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is a game that has received very mixed reviews and has the disappointingly low score of only 80 on Metacritic. Recently we've learned that the majority of PS3 owners really don't like purchasing "expansion" types of software. In reality, Gran Turismo 5 is just the final "expansion" to Gran Turismo 5 Prologue; it simply adds more tracks and more cars. The gameplay and graphics engine are exactly the same. My friends and I think it would be awful for Sony to want to charge $59 for Gran Turismo 5, because it simply is an expansion to the Gran Turismo 5 Prologue game we were already charged $39 for. That would be like paying $100 for a game, which is way too much. I think $39 is the amount of money Sony should charge for Gran Turismo 5.

This is what we want on XBLA, plus the other games I mentioned (Brave Fencer Mushashi, Parasite Eve, Xenogears & Chrono Trigger ). I definitely want Gyromancer. I'm already played Puzzle Quest Galactrix right now. I'll have to see how Toy Soldier turns out. Most of the other games I could care less about. The Warrior game was pretty good. The movie was very controversial back in the the 70's. It had a lot of over the top violence that hadn't been seen during that time period. Watching it today, it's pretty tame compared to shock movies like Saw, Hostel and Final Destination. The Warriors will never be forgotten.

no one loved the warriors a few years ago... no one loved the film it was based on in the 70's. it should just be forgotten.

For those of you that don' know this yet, The Warriors XBLA game is nothing like the hit Rockstar game we all loved a few years back. Looks to me like more overpriced shovelware is about all we've got coming. I really hate the pricing scheme on these games.

I would love to see square do a puzzle fighter type game with final fantasy, parasite eve, xenogears, and hell bust-a-groove (the dancing game not the neo geo dinos!) characters in any combination. more companies with large game catalogs need to do more mash-up games.

ddevil, you asked Salarian to list all of the exclusive for the 360 that are coming up and then you say that most are not any good. That's just your opinion and a bad one at that since you haven't played one of them yet. That's like me saying that a list of all upcoming PS3 games are not any good without playing them. It's just blowing smoke and being a true fanboy. Every system comes out with a ton of games. I only need about 4 or 5 to really be great becaues that's all I'm going to buy in a year. Unless you are living with your parents and they spoil you the death, no one is going to buy 20 new games in a year. I may spend $300 a year on new games. That's 5 very good games. It may be less. Inbetween I'll pick up old games that I've never played for $15 to 20 dollars. This year I have only picked up Resident Evil 5, Fable 2, MUA 2 and NCAA 10. That's it. I haven't pick up a lot of old games but I have picke up some. I rarely pay full price for any game because I do trade ins. This year will be the most I have payed for games ever because I still want ODST, L4D, Borderlands and Dragon Age.

I love XBLA, it has a ton of fun games.

i tell you what all the systems are just great you cant be a true gamer and not have the 360 or the ps3 but if i new what i know now about the 360 i prob would have chose the ps3 over the 360. the 360 is too much of a hassel than what its worth and to be honest with you the arcade games suck hardcore except for geomentry wars 1 and 2 those are awsome.

I'm looking forward to Gyromancer. I liked puzzle quest as well.

I cant name a game on PS3 that I want more then Mass Effect 2. All the rest is just cake. The problem isnt whether the PS3 is a great system or not...it is. The problem is sony's inability to make the system accessible to game designers. Have you ever seen a PS3 game designers kit? Or the macros you have to set up? If I was going to buy a console now and in the future, I would have to stick with the systems that have the best sales or the best third party support. That is MS.

In addition to the awesome World War 1 game called Toy Soldiers mentioned in this article, Xbox 360 has plenty of other exclusive games for 2010. Just take a look at the huge number of games that will be released as exclusive or console-exclusive for Xbox 360 for the rest of 2009 and through 2010. When I list "console exclusive" it means the game is being released for Xbox 360 and PC, with the exception of Samurai Shodown, which is available for Arcades and Xbox 360. I thought the consensus was that WW1 games are few and far between because they just aren't as popular as WW2.

Exclusives are something Xbox 360 has plenty of for 2010, and we can add Toy Soldiers to this list. Toy Soliders really does sound like a cool game. It's nice to see some focus on World War 1 for once. I think it goes without saying that we certainly have plenty of World War 2 games; although, Call of Duty 2 focused on World War 2 and it is my favorite game in the series.

Would be great if we got a Carmageddon game.

Finally, a strategy game for XBLA!!! I haven't been impressed with the current "strategy" games available on XBLA, but maybe Toy Soldiers will be good.
