Microsoft next-gen titles up to six months behind schedule - Report

That's my point. Current consoles are outdated. When you play recent games like FC3 and Bioshock Infinite on PC at 40+ fps, playing on current consoles  is just an un-smooth experience, even after they've lowered the graphic detail. Battlefield 3 is a perfect example. How much did it have to be scaled down for consoles? 

@The_Audiophile   well i can't name one game that i have any performance issues with. Maybe your console is on its way out. Mines fine!

There are just about ten big reasons a more powerful console has me begging to fork out money. Including the extreme lag between generations (at one point this year I considered getting a Wii U it is so bad), the need for a beefier console so only AAA titles that spend as much time optimizing games for older consoles as they do making them.

Add in greater AI, console functionality such as PS4 being able to go back to where you were right before you turned off the console in a game. Then throw in the fact that a lot of new IP's have simply been waiting for a new generation of consoles (think developers like Respawn, Bungie and countless others).

If you need more reasons I am here to urge you forward.

@TohouAsura @H4num4n I hate Gears and Halo, but I bought a 360 a month after launch. The 360 was THE current gen console to play just about anything on until about 2008 when the PS3 ports were up to snuff. Not including the Bethesda shitstorms.

@1947gamer The chance would be very,very low for a X360 release.Thief 4 is already confirmed for the PS4.,its easier to make that game on the next Xbox.

@sladakrobot @1947gamer It is but it seems like they said screw their past customers we are going to hold this for the next-gen consoles. If M$ did not announce a new one maybe us 360er's would be able to play the game.

Consoles ARE better than PC for most games. You don't need to upgrade it every other month, not much installation, and you don't have to buy shit like Windows 8 first.

Is that why 10 million people play Wow? Is that why 38 million people play League of Legends? Is that why Blizzard and Valve (PC game companies) are becoming bigger than EA, and are the only 2 game developers that are fortune 500 companies? Sony is a publisher, they don't specifically make games like Blizzard and valve do.

ALot of these console fanboys just don't understand how games are made. Console architecture is what holds up games from being made. If consoles just had standard hardware, games would be made faster and better. There are ways to protect products from being hacked. Thats what I do. I do system based security for steam and valve products. 

Just keep repeating the talking points CEO's and heads of game devs say. Its all BS, they just say it becasue the console is a corporate concept to make money. There were PC games before consoles, and there will be PC games after consoles. The new Consoles are just media centers more or less. They finally dropped teh idea of making custom hardware.

Many devs jumped to the console market due to potential hacking losses on pc though I agree on  console game restraints to pc. PC games are bound  to get normalized once next-gen consoles become tandem at least before more independent pc upgrades.

@eyematter @BraveArc actually when xbox and playstation consoles were released it revitalized a dying gaming industry and opened the door's for many game devs and production companies so really consoles improved pc gaming in that aspect
