Speaking at Microsoft's Xbox E3 press conference, Microsoft said the new Xbox 360 SKU would be sleeker and more in line with the design of the upcoming Xbox One.

Microsoft said the new, redesigned Xbox 360 was smaller and sleeker than the previous model--which was announced back at E3 2010. It will sell for the same estimated retail prices across the 360 SKUs: $199.99 for the 4GB console, $299.99 for the 250GB, and $299.99 for the 4GB Kinect Bundle.

Microsoft has also pledged "hundreds" of games coming to the Xbox 360 over the coming months, including Wargaming's popular massively multiplayer online game World of Tanks.

"There's never been a better time to experience everything Xbox 360 has to offer," said Microsoft chief marketing and strategy officer Yusuf Mehdi. Elsewhere in the press conference, Microsoft announced a November release date and a $500 price for the Xbox One.

The new Xbox 360 SKU will be shipping today to retailers across the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and Ireland. Microsoft said the device will reach all Xbox regions in the coming months.
