Micro Machines V4 goes gold
Multiplayer racing action based on the mini-toy franchise to be available at the end of June.
UK publisher Codemasters' Micro Machines V4 is ready to race. The publisher today confirmed that development on the game has been completed and a gold master produced, from which retail copies will now be pressed. It is due for UK release on June 30 for the PC, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation Portable, with a Nintendo DS version in the pipeline. The game is set for a June 27 release in the US.
Micro Machines V4 pits up to four players against one other, racing around circuits taken from domestic environments while collecting weapon power-ups. Codemasters tapped Supersonic Software, the studio behind Micro Machines 2, Antz: Extreme Racing, and Pong: The Next Level, to develop the game. The whole falling off the track thing, where it pauses to let the other car back on is enough for me to say "thanks but no thanks." Watch the vids and you'll see what I mean. That'll get old real quick.
The Demo rocks! I bet the full game will be totally addictive. I hope they bring it out for the Gamecube.
I hope they make a gamecube version of micro machines v4 so I cam buy it for my nephew who is race car fan and I will be buying the gamecube for my nephew this year.
can't wait
BlackICEJOE is a troll on the comment boards. He always says, "I for one..." blah blah blah. No one cares what you think JOE! Get a life and quit trolling the boards.
Awesome, I still remember playing the originals way back on the Mega Drive/Genesis
Yay. Micromachines is a fun little game.
i remember playing a hotwheels game for ps1. it was a little fun i guess.
Now if you could race in those old playsets they use to sell with the Micro Machines, that would be cool. Remember the toolbox that turned into a city or the gas can that turned into a mountain pass. Let me race on those.
Ahh.....twas an excellent game for the N64. I hope this game doesn't disappoint.
Ehhhh...I don't know at this game. I don't wanna judge too quickly but I have doubts about this game.
good i need to school my friends in this game
DS version? Yes, sir!
i remember playing with micromachines...when i was 6
Can't wait for the DS version.
Yeah! Good news for micro machines fans
OMG a new Micro Machines game?! Why didn't I know about this? .. Woot!
The first one was a classic with 3 player racing on the PC. The toilet seat was my fav :) Where is the 360 version with Live support!!!
I for one can't wait to get this game for my PSP.I think it will be an easy game to use on the go.I love little mini games.
If they pull this one off, it could be good. But so many great game concepts are never fully realized. A certain Driv3r game cpmes to mind...... I also noticed that nobody ever realized my idea about a MMORPG where you play a fly searching the suburbs for the perfect trash heap..... Also, Also, there have been many rip offs of the micormachines line. Unfortunately, since the origional micro machines on the Genesis, they have all sucked. If Supersonic can pull it together, it might be worth something.
Good game:D
going gold means the game being FINISHED:P not in sales like in songs(platinum etc..)
Is there any other games like this? I think it's uniqe
AS for other games such as miccro machines I think there were MANY for the PC, Remote control racers, and many more I played two European games such as these long back dont exactly remeber the name:PAwesome, ANOTHER car game for the PSP. Where's the RPG's!?
Micro Machines? Interesting, not the type of game I would play, but congratulations to them on going gold.
Is there any other games like this? I think it's uniqe
