Wait until you you see the Metal Gear Raiden:Snake Eraser machinama movie that was made it is sooo funny. It tells the story of why Raiden is not in Metal Gear Solid:Guns of the Patriot and what happens to him after Sons of Liberty. All I gotta say is being run over by a tank really sucks

I hear have a emulator of the NES game I have that game now but played on my PS2 will be a succed see ya and Snake after ever

MGS isn't that good. Also, a "directors cut" isn't the best title to launch your new live review. Finally, if this was on Xbox, it wouldn't get this attention.

i preordered the LE one from gamestop online, but got no record of it...... but i'll try to get it any way i can "Yea, it's that important."

Ownage/10. This game is definitely worth purchasing even if you got the original.

If they are going to do a live review for it Its probably going to get a 10 I think they will because they fixed the camera issue. That was one of things greg had bashed on in the first review and probably since all the extras in this game seem significant its probably going to do much better

Greg will give the game a score he thinks it deserves. Stop telling him what score to give a game or start making your own scores. If its below a 9.5 and you guys complain, seriously, just leave this website and never return.

Gamespot's reviews tend to fluctuate, and MGS3 definitely deserved over the 8.7. For a game series that's redefining the game industry for the better, I don't understand how it got under a 9. It has terrific graphics, there was so much detail and care placed into it (this game has more easter eggs than any other game I've ever seen), the storyline is even better than what we see from movie blockbusters, and the overhead view worked pretty well for me because I knew where north was.

This is cool news and all, but isn't the game released this coming Tuesday, the 14th?

I never saw what was so great about MGS3's gameplay. Sure its cinemas and story were cool, but the parts that you actually played I found extremely dull. What really galls me is that they finally figured out that the circa 1998 camera angles were outdated, AFTER I paid for the original. No thanks.

I think Subsistence is a great choice for the first LIVE review. The Metal Gear series is my personal favorite. They are also adding a lot of "series firsts" for subsistence. Online Multiplayer, Modern Camera Angle, and more extras thought possible. 8.7 was extremely low for the fine game MGS3 was, MGS2 got a 9.6 and MGS3 was more of the same great gameplay and story, but with COMPLETLY different settings, characters, etc., so there is no reason to give MGS3 a lower score. With Subsistence, Gamespot has one last chance to set things right!

This game could just get a 10.

I too think this might be a perfect score or something of the like. If they wanted to make such a big premiere why not make it on a highly anticipated game like Oblivion? I think the answer rests in the fact that this will probably be the highest rating for this generation.

it will probebly get Gamplay: 10/10 cause of the new camera angle and online. Graphics: 9/10 because it got 9 last time and it still looks great. Sound: 10/10 it was already perfect. Value: 10/10 tons of things to do Online, MG, MG2, Snake Eater, Movie, Snake vs Money, Duel mode, theres to many i cant list them all and they all seem fun to. Reviewers tilt: 10/10 the whole review got 10 exept graphics. Thats an average of 9.9 out of 10 thats probebly what gamespot will give it or somthing simiar to that if anything gets a bit lower id say it would be reviewers tilt though.

Metal Gear Solid is certainly extremely high profile, but this is a re-release of a game. I'd suspect Gamespot to do something special like a live review for that, but if this is the first game to get that accolade, this will be a 10. No doubt about it. It's a fantastic game made better, besides, if it does get the 8.7, then Gamespot is certainly standing out from the 39/40 and 9.8/10. :P

Well I'm in the UK, I'll be watching this at midnight here (Damn Time Difference) !! I really can't wait for Subsistance here, in fact I finally got my PS2 hooked online at christmas soley for the release of the game !! I don't really care about the other features as our version had the theatre and duel mode with the original game..though the new camera might be interesting i'm just worried it will take the stealth feel of the game away especially online !! Well still can't believe we're finally going to get to see Metal Gear Online !! I might see you guys on it !! P.s. Is the gamespot staff going to be running a server during the Live Review ??
