This game looks cool. My favorite part of the game is the guns. I just got a M4 like in the game from here http://www.airsplat.com/airsoft-video-games.htm and I absolutely love it! They also have a bunch of other guns from all the other FPS games too!
Pre-release multiplayer trial for Danger Close's new shooter arriving exclusively for Xbox 360 early October; not planned for PS3, PC.
Danger Close's new shooter Medal of Honor Warfighter does not ship until October 23, but gamers won't need to wait that long to try their hand at the game's multiplayer component. Publisher Electronic Arts announced today that a beta for the game will arrive exclusively for the Xbox 360 in early October.
An EA representative confirmed that the beta is not coming to the PC or PlayStation 3, and will require an Xbox Live Gold subscription for Xbox 360 users.
"The limited beta program is focused on one platform for Danger Close Games to test various multiplayer components in preparation for the launch on October 23 including online gameplay functionality, enhancements to the free Battlelog social network, and stress testing," the EA representative said.
The Medal of Honor Warfighter beta features a multiplayer mode called HotSpot. In this mode, players attack and defend environments on the Sarajevo Stadium map set in Bosnia. Gamers can choose from 12 squads to enlist as, including the United States Navy SEAL, British SAS, German KSK, Russian Spetsnaz Alfa Group, and Korean UDT divisions.
Gamers who download the Medal of Honor Warfighter beta will given 60 minutes of double XP when the game launches in full later in October. Additionally, if the demo hits 3 million downloads, EA will release Linkin Park's "Castle of Glass" music video ahead of its planned launch. The music video was produced as a collaborative effort between members of Linkin Park and Danger Close in association with transmedia company Mothership and animation studio Digital Domain.
I just played the demo... It looks and feels really broken and almost a copy of MW.... Sad.... To much HUD futuristic info and way too many icons onscreen all the time. The sound is good, graphs...worst than BF3, in general, I think is very hard to know what is going on it he game and in the menus... I'll be more than happy to buy it if they go easy on the Halo/MW game style.... Remember DICE, less is more.
wtf!!?!?! so what pre- oreder for PS3 means nothing now!?! if i download the demo for the xbox, will any of these "perks" spill over? prob not? nie curve ball jag offs!!
Wasn't the last MOH game diarrhea? How is this one gonna be any different? The only thing it has in it's favor is that it looks like BF3. Sort of how the last one looked like BFBC2.
Woudn't it make sense to release the beta for all platforms ? So we can stress-test all the servers ? =P Freaking EA...
I really hope they fix and address previous problems of CoD. I'm glad they removed the nube tubes from Hardcore but what about the cheap "cover you anywhere from anything" vests and over powered perk Sit Rep Pro?
And the reason why DLC and Demo's hit Xbox 360 first is because its the most widely played platform. Not because I say so, its a fact. So rather than dealing with the hassle of trouble shooting 3 platforms at once, they can focus on a larger test group. Its just that simple. It's called a market cross section.
It seems really stupid to release a beta exclusively to one platform what happens when the game releases on the PS3 and PC but it doesn't work properly online because they have a different online infastucture then the Xbox 360 and the game was never tested to run on them. When there is problems with the PS3 and PC versions of the games online component we can look back to this exclusive beta as being the reason for it.
people should just stop buying EA games for a while and stick with other developers (kojima netherrealms naughty dog etc etc) for a while ( if you really want to show them that customers and consumers are king / boss and ignoring them will not do them good ) reduce their revenues in such a consolidated way that they regret their decisions :)
@aXeem316 Yes & no! YES EA is the most Greedy gaming company IN THE WORLD, especially when it comes to "sports licensing." I've stopped buying all EA Sports titles due to their "monopoly behavior." However Medal of Honor is EA's "precious baby," Medal of Honor was the first huge success on the first person shooter front back during the PS1. Games that have lived longer than EA's greedy behavior deserve a buy.
A game published by EA? No thanks!
I'll continue my boycott of all EA games until they become a game company that I feel deserves support from gamers.
@Landsharkk Then miss out on good games. Your loss no theirs. Your boycott means nothing to a billion dollar company.
@cursealoud On the contrary, 'my loss' would be to continue to send my hard earned money to a company I do not wish to support.
It's more 'your loss' than mine. If you are not happy with EA, but continue to give them money then who's losing, you or them?
There are hundreds of other games available to play that are published by many companies that I do want to support.
@cursealoud I don't know what sparked your massively defensive behavior, but you should take a step back and consider why you are so quick to call people idiots for not liking a game publisher/company.
There are many reasons why I don't like EA, DLC is not one of them (I own many DLC for different games, some of which were published by EA in the past and have enjoyed them for the most part). My dislike of EA has nothing to do with their games as I've enjoyed many of their franchises since EA was first created as a game company.
EA is a game 'publisher', what I thought I stated quite clearly in my original comment. They do not 'make' games, they only publish them.
I'm a huge fan of the Battlefield games but will no longer buy them. Not because the games are bad, but because I don't agree with many things related to EA. It's nothing against the developers, just against EA and their past and future.
If you want to have a mature conversation about why I dislike EA and why you insist on defending stuff I haven't brought up, then perhaps lay off the personal insults and maybe ask some rational and related questions instead.
By stating that my opinion is biased, isn't that dictating my opinion? Why do you think my opinion is biased? And how does that fit in anywhere into the conversation? My opinion is my own opinion, if it's biased than that means everyone's opinion on any topic is biased.
And what 'absurd movement' are you referring to? I'm not aware of one. Also, what EA Hate train are you referring to that left 2 years ago? Wasn't it THIS YEAR (i.e. 2012) that EA was voted the worst company BY gamers? Notice that you had to bring up the 'hate train' and 'absurd movement' stuff while I only stated my personal opinion in regards to EA. Why are you so defensive?
@Landsharkk You make no sense. How do I lose by playing amazing games Like Battlefield 4, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Mass Effect 3, Dead Space 3, and Crysis 3? What has EA done that other companies haven't? If you mention anything about DLC I will light that ass up with so many contradictions it will make you look like more of an idiot than you do now
@wrestlingdude How in the hell am I dictating his opinion? He made his choice to NOT buy an EA product and I said he is the one losing because EA publishes great games. He's missing out because of bias thinking. His loss. As for EA and the monopoly you mentioned, THERE IS NO MONOPOLY. EA only holds the rights to the NFL because the NFL sold it to them. You can't buy anything that's not for sale(see NBA). They NO LONGER hold licenses for the NCAA or AFL....dummy. You should try reading once and awhile. Because I am not a jackass, I am NOT the one missing out on great games due to an absurd movement. The EA hate train left the building 2 years ago. Looks like you're stuck in the past.
@Landsharkk @cursealoud You are "dictating" other peoples opinions. Medal of Honor is the OLDEST shooter franchise EA has going back to the PS1, and EA gave Danger Close "full reigns" on production time due to the importance of its success. Like Landsharkk said, your missing out. Danger Close is a Branch of Dice. I don't buy sports games anymore due to EA's greedy monopoly over the NFL & NHL. I think that's what EA should "not" get support in.
Uh oh another fanboy its ok go playing The Xbox with your fat oversized controller that makes your hands feel weird and also low quality games since most xbox's only hold up to 14-20 GB Oh and also did i forget to mention that On Playstation Plus you get Free games while on Xbox gold membership its very rare oh and one last thing, On PS3 You dont need a youtube account to go on youtube while on Xbox you do. Proves my point now go play your Low quality Xbox games while i play Blu-Ray Disc best quality games and also last of all PS3 Does get hacked alot but Xbox is so much easier to get hacked cause it is basically a computer
PS3 and PC user ,dont be alarmed.we will watc on you tube how they play.its enough for me.ill see how the games feels.
just speculating but this could have something to do with pre-order sales can't see how this will sell well with Halo 4 and black ops 2 coming out just a week or two after
well im glad that they're having a beta but not console of my choice which really sucks. don't know why it's not for ps3 and pc dumb choice by ea/danger close. probably money. i mean microsoft is smart for giving them money for exclusive access cause the only games that sell well on their console are shooters (skyrim doesn't count everybody knows that) which is sad but fact is more ps3 players still play moh 2010 at least give us something right?
@HaRdNiPs Totally, A beta shouldn't be platform exclusive at all... does it not defeat the objective? I hope this isn't a sign that this game is just a port from 360. I'm getting it for my PC and 360 as i'm a huge fan of FPS and MOH. I think that if one gets the Beta they all should after all isn't it to test functionality of the MP engine and servers etc... There will be just as many players across all platforms surely?
@Hrodwulf666 @HaRdNiPs This is not a real "beta"...this is a demo. They know they have PS3 peeps lock down because there's more PS3 users playing BF3, AND MoH still. They're trying to sell to some of the CoD kiddies.
Waste of time imo, as CoD is king of arcade shooters. People will download the "beta", play it for a while, then realize it's not as "good" (lol) as CoD...and just won't buy it.
Having an exclusive on a demo is the dumbest shit I've seen in a while...GG EA/MS/DC
@glassesboy This is a REAL beta. The game is complete, but a stress test is needed to ensure the integrity of the servers. A demo would be released on ALL platforms if that were true(dummy).
How do they know they have PS3 users locked down? You think this is a ploy to sell more 360 titles because PS3 is a shew in for more sold. How retarded do you sound. Do they have a crystal ball, because the last time I checked...360 users buy more copies in every game from GTA4 to Call of Duty. Jesus, even Halo(xbox only) outsold Uncharted and God of War put together, so check your facts first. Like I told the other idiot...Bad Company 2 beta was released for PS3 only, so your comment reflects PS3 as well you moron
MoH looks great! cant wait even tho im getting PC version I dont feel to sad.
they just want to sell more x360 copies!
Cant wait to play the beta.Loved the last medal of honor and it sold over 5 million copys. This one i see selling more than that.I just hate that its EA after how that messed up BF3 on the Xbox. The system that BF3 sold more on than any other platform and thats how they repay us.Anyway i hope MOH dont go down that same road as BF3.
@smackdowner360 This time around, i think it will sell less than 5 million ... simply because everyone already enjoying BF3 and it's dlcs plus COD n Halo are coming ...
lol Beta....devs these days pushing out demos and calling them "beta". So it's an old build of the game you're giving people to try out while maybe stressing the servers a bit...but tbh, by this point devs should know how much stress servers take on launch days...
They should know...but they always seem to come up short on the first week of launch. w/e.... i was thinking about buying this day one, but I'll wait and see if there's input lag on the PS3 version like BF3 has.
@glassesboy How should developers know how much they take on launch day when they don't know how many will be playing on launch day? PLEASE answer that retarded question? Enlighten me. You just answered your own question in your stupid comment at the same time. here it is: They test the stress in the servers because they are trying to limit the latency(lag) problems. Wow, so smart and so dumb at the same time!
@glassesboy This has me worried that they haven't figured the input lag issue for PS3 in Frosbite 2. I mean why else wouldn't they release a demo, errr I mean a beta on PS3, wouldn't they want to make more sales? I am sure Sony would take whatever money is willing to throw at them.
@SymonLeTueur Yeah same thing I was thinking...if the PS3 people see the input lag on the "beta" there would be FAR less sales.
If there's even a hint of input lag, I'm not buying it. BF3 was/ is a nightmare to play still, even after almost a year. FB2 seems to be giving the PS3 a run for its money, and if DICE couldn't fix it, I'm not sure if Danger Close can.
Have to wait and see.
@SymonLeTueur @glassesboy Strong point! In my opinion the Input lag is an issue that could be remedied if Dice gave in on their fixed FPS policy. I cant claim to know much about the tech but for some reason they are dead against smooth frame rates. I have a hard time with this on my PC as I am VERY sensitive to lags in frame rates increasing and dropping, it makes the game clunky in my eyes, even though I have a powerful rig I can see the drop. Yet they insist that this isn't essential to the game. Maybe if they smoothed it out there wouldn't be the problem with the PS3. As I say though I don't understand the tech.
