MechWarrior 4 Test Launches
Microsoft releases a multiplayer test version of MechWarrior 4 now playable on the Zone.
While the full game is still months away, Microsoft has released a test version of Mechwarrior 4: Vengeance. This multiplayer version of the game contains four mechs - Cougar, Loki, Madcat, and Thor - that can be fully customized in the MechLab. The MechWarrior 4 test will let you play five game types: King of the Hill, Capture the flag, Steal the Bacon, Attrition (play for points), and Destruction (play for kills). MechWarrior 4 will be the first Microsoft game to support the new ZoneStats stats-tracking feature on the Zone, which is now available for this test version.
You can download the large 68.8 MB file at GameSpot here. More information on the test can be found at MechWarrior4.com. This test version of the game will expire on November 7.
