Max Payne demo available

3D Realms has released a playable demo for its popular third-person shooter, Max Payne. The demo is just under 132MB, and it lets players play through a portion of the game.

Max Payne was released in late July by GodGames, and it received an extremely favorable review from GameSpot. Players assume the role of an undercover cop in New York City on a mission to destroy a mafia network. The game features an innovative "bullet-time" feature that lets players temporarily slow down time in order to perform difficult action sequences.
