Mass Effect 3 adding single-player DLC

Lot of whiners on here nowadays.

And when it hits at a bargain price in a "complete edition" , I'll care. Such a good game, sad I won't support EA with top dollar prices ever, even if it involves Bioware.

I'm all for it, favorite game series. Why is anyone complaining at all, it's a video game, GTF over it already. Mass Effect 3 was great!

First real singleplayer DLC since the game came out five months ago.

Might as well give it a try, but I am not that awestruck...

*sigh* Mass Effect, I stopped caring so long ago. I haven't even played the EC because I just can't care anymore.

Hey, I'm down with that. I've forgiven Bioware because the Extended Cut was pretty damn good and more than enough of an ending but something I always wanted was learn more about the Reapers. They where always so mysterious, we could only assume why they where some evil bastards who just want to eat us but I thought it was really cool how they where actually trying to preserve genetic life. I mean, yes they are misguided but the Reapers are actually trying to do the right thing (the necessarily evil) which makes them even more interesting force. I hope they give them some cool backstory, hell it would be awesome if they actually made a DLC where you played a character from millions of years ago during the first Reaper invasion on its creators (but I wouldn't bet on it).

if it wasn't for multiplayer I wouldn't play ME3 that much but recently I beat game again and felt the EC did what it needed to do and i like the ending well the destroy ending that is since shepard is shown to be alive with that one...can't wait for this DLC and the weapons one coming out so I can have more firepower to kick reaper ass

Nice to see that they finally bought something for singleplayer campaign. And it's about more history of Reapers. :D

Wow. Now if only I still played EA and Bioware games... too bad I don't. I'm sure it is really enlightening how the evil AI that was sent from the non-AI to protect everyone from the evil AI got started with their extinction bit, but honestly go suck balls Bioware.

~shrug~  I don't particularly think I'm going to worry about it unless they have a GOTY version on Steam or something.  I haven't been able to bring myself to play the series again after I went through the ending of Mass Effect 3 to even see the extended version.  This is a game I had 300 (180 hours on Mass Effect, and 120 on Mass Effect 2) hours on before Mass Effect 3 ever came out (which added another 50 hours).  Then add another 40 to 50 hours from Mass Effect 3, which was a huge mess in the last 10 minutes.  So, I'm pretty sure I'm not too excited about this.

Good to hear we will get more info on the reapers origins.  The main thing I was hoping ME3 would explain was who made the reapers and why.  I don't count the catalyst as a valid answer and the reason he gave as to why they were made wasn't really an answer to me.

Finally more content for us who play Mass Effect like it should be played - like a singleplayer.

... after reading the comments, I assume I'm the only one who was satisfied with the extended cut and am looking forward to this DLC. I hated the ending just as much as most people, since it deliberately went against EVERYTHING the series stood for, and was the complete OPPOSITE of what the lead developer promised us. BUT, the EC ending gave me some closure, fixed MANY of the major plot holes (And even changed certain scenarios ending differently), showed us how SOME (Not all) of our choices held impact, properly showed the importance of Shepard's sacrifice depending on which ending (One of the more emotional moments in the series) and improved a bit on the circular, broken logic it held prior. They clearly know they screwed up and have paid for it. Had the EC been the original ending, people wouldn't have had NEARLY the fuss. Yes, there are still many problems, such as the stupid still images (even though some actual cutscenes were added), the middle finger 4th ending, and that there is still essentially no impact from the War Assets. Will everybody be satisfied? No. Will some people think it's worse? Yes. Should Bioware be completely forgiven? Not by my standards. BUT, is it an improvement? Of course it is. Despite how people feel, the new ending is 1000x better, despite negative feed back that the incredibly intelligent, well thought out, and provable Indoctrination theory is now not true.

I feel your pain people, but disappointments are common in media of ANY kind. I hate Godfather III, despite how many people love it, and I hate Diablo III (A way bigger disappointment than ME3, imo), yet people are willing to put up with it's awful story, lack of innovation from Diablo II, forced internet access and it's unbalanced and broken pay to win aspects. Did I hear a fuss over that? Nope, dead silence. When actual improvement is shown, you ignore it, but when clear signs of bulls*** ruins a game that took a decade to make, you praise it and call it gold. I will never understand the internet.

No amount of free content can change how lame reapers seemed after that ending. Bioware is hurting  on all fronts, but they brought it on themselves. If you make intelligent games you will have intelligent fan-base and if you try to shaft them they will call you on it. Honestly the amount of fightback that ME3 fans showed during all this made me proud. For once the little guy brought the giant to it knees. Just like many I am sad that it came to this with Bioware, but as I already said they brought it on themselves.  

Guys the game isn't finished yet, i didnt like the second game compared to the first with out the extra dlc content.  Its a shame that games no longer come complete but this is the price gamers pay for used game sales and pirated copies.  I mean the shadow broker dlc, and the reaper invasion dlc were epic and added to the game and made me wish it had been there in my first play through.  I cant imagine ME2 with out these molments now.  I belive people are to harsh on ME3 because they have yet to play the complete package.  I think ME3 base game was a little weak it felt more constricted and confined, but that also fit well with the story.  Wait to completely judge the game untill its completed.  The mass effect series is just getting started, and ask yourself wich is a more powerfull motivation, fan redemption or keeping up with past games.  Honestly it dosent matter because bioware is going to be feeling both, which i belive could deliver a stuning depiction/hashing out of an already amazing series

finally a more answers to the origins of the reapers, they totally forget to explain their origins in ME3.

Mass Effect fans are such whiny morons. Bioware should stop giving in to them.
