Mafia II moving in on retail turf August 24

First semester Red Dead Redemption. Second semester this. That's all I need this year. Epic games.

Can someone tell me just one thing.Did the put they trolleys,street cars,tramways or whatever you call it in mafia 2 cause I didn t see them in any of the gameplays or rewiews and it would be a shame not to have them in the game.They were not removed till the 60's or 70's.

I played Mafia and it was amazing as everyone agrees, but I hope the sequel has more depth and rpg elements rather than a straight-shooter with crazy action sequences.

mafia 1 on pc was an instant classic, ahead of its time. too bad the port over to ps2 lost of its graphical flare and gameplay in my opinion. if this sequel follows suit then theres no doubt it will be a hit even on the consoles since the computing power is there now

I've played the Original MAFIA PC game, 2 or maybe 3 hundred times. I must be one of the oldest players that are still out here playing this Antique and Blargsman is completely correct when he states that "MAFIA", IS, a total classic! I can still find new ways to fight the Bums & Thugs, Steal the cars, accomplish the missions, etc. With all the talented and creative young minds out there, Why hasn't anyone written any add-on programming for the fans of this fun and teriffic game? See ya all in August (I Hope the game turns out to be as good as the previews appear to be!)

If the first Mafia is anything to judge this sequel by - it'll be nothing short of amazing. Mafia was an underrated classic.

I've been waiting for this game for who knows how long and come August 24 I think i'll still be waiting.

Can't say I'm not a tad apprehensive, I mean Denby Grace is a great story teller and I really love that interview but it starts to get old after you've seen it a few hundred times . . . @tevic: agreed, when I first read about LA Noire in Game Informer and saw the last quarter 2010 release date I thought no way, this is my first time hearing of or about this game and the release date is only a few months away??? plzzz, not take 2. I would say summer 2011 is more like it. Same thing happened with Mafia 2 and Max Payne 3.

@TheGreyArea What are you talking about? It's coming out on PC at the same time too :) The PC version looks incredible.

@ MafiaBroad82: Here is my bet: Mafia 2 end of August, LA Noire delayed to 2011, and the yet unannounced GTA Vice City 2 in november.

Thank you!! This game has been delayed long enough! And With Take-2's track record I highly doubt that LA Noire will be released this year, maybe MP3 , but that's iffy also

@aks_kaikini It most likely will have a stupid DRM u should get a console because game development companies are killing the PC market with this DRM crap.

I hope that one game that could possibly be held back is civ V because I could couldn't care less about that game but all there other titles coming out look to be pretty good.

guys guys guys, do you think this game will have the awful "stay online permanently" DRM?? i hope not. and i hope this game releases on all platforms on the same date. I dont own consoles so dont want to see it releasing like 5 months later on pc

I just hope they hurry this up and get it out. It's been long enough.. they've had time..

Will blow GTA4 out of the water as far as graphics 100%. Also it will have a lot less bugs. R* games are flaky.
