EA's annual footballer to feature pop, rock, hip-hop soundtrack from Ozzy, Bravery, Sum 41, Timbaland, more.
Spanning 11 platforms and hitting more than 7.1 million users as of last March, EA's Madden 07 garnered a substantial amount of playtime for the up-and-coming artists who landed a slot on its soundtrack. EA released the details on its Madden NFL 08 soundtrack this week, and as in past years, the collection includes a variety of established pop, rock, and hip-hop artists, as well as a few newcomers.
Headlining the show are platinum-record-selling artists such as The Bravery, Swizz Beats, Sum 41, Timbaland featuring Justin Timberlake, The Hives, and Yellowcard. Airbourne, Datarock, Operator, and Enter Shikari will make their big-time debut, hoping to seed an ascent to superstardom. Lending a track to the proceedings for the first time will also be rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, with "I Don't Wanna Stop."
Arriving this August, Madden NFL 08 will be available on the Xbox 360, Xbox, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, GameCube, Nintendo DS, Wii, PC, PlayStation Portable, mobile handsets, and Mac.

I'll give it a listen or two before i decide if i like it, but i'll probly just mute it like i did with last years and the year before that and the year before that.....
shadows fall - redemption to me is the best song there... second being becoming the bull by atreyu... and whoever said this soundtrack sucks... i hope you get punched in the face sometime in the near future
this game has a preety good soundtrack but does anybody know if the ps3 version will have a customizable soundtrack this year?
Man...MADDEN always has hot soundtracks its NCAA who lacks the good songs. Madden got Swizz Beats on the soundtrack and other great artists. Shoot Madden is like one of those games that will change your way of listening to music cause if you dont like rock you will find ya self singing along with the game when you play MADDEN. So, people dont knock the game because alot of unknown artists get their career start off of Madden. MADDEN ALL THE WAY!
the soundtrack isnt THAT bad... shadows fall, the used, hellyeah, ozzy.... there are always bad songs on these soundtracks. but some of the ones you have never heard before end up being good. so we will just have to wait and judge when we play the game.
Im really dissapointed with the sound track. I mean since 2005 the sound track have gotten worse every year
This kind of games just fail at soundtracks. The only good stuff there is Daddy Yankee Impacto and timbaland with JT but that timbaland song is not even a single. Oh btw I dislike Don omar because he always acts fake, wanting to act like a saint lately. And also if you notice it's a featuring not really a song of him.
juliusIII By the way, dont diss Daddy Yankee and Don Omar! Are you nuts? Are you a friggin' idiot? Regeton is sh*t, there is no worst music than regueton, I would like to listen Barney songs instead regueton
im going to buy this if it hits PS3 just for the soundtrack despite the fact i don't know shyte about madden been from aus. haha
man, EA went from some of the most awesome and groundbreaking game soundtracks to this. While madden might happen to make the 08 installation the most amazing and awesome, and super mega crazy good, i'd wind up tuning out the music all together as it would be enough to drive me away from the game. come on guys, lets get it together and bring back some of the 04, 05 soundtracks that rocked so hard!
is anyone surprised that the soundtrack sucks my butt . . . thats pretty much standard issue for EA . . . . no real rock and roll just a bunch of noise that will drive me to finally pay up my satellite radio bill.
Brotha Ali, Murs, Zion and the Grouch are real. I wish they would put some People Under the Stairs on there, they need some exposure, but i kind of like having all the good underground **** to myself. It's kinda sad they have to share space with sad cats like MIMS and those other plastic packaged losers. I give them credit for puttin some talented artists on there, i just wish the rest of the world would wake up and realize how much they're bein played.
I usually turn the music off anyways and this is exactly why. Nothin but a bunch of EMO screaMO CRAP. When did it become okay for "rock singers" to start sounding like angry castrati. EA soundtracks suck soooooo hard. 2k has the right idea when it comes to music, they hired Z-Trip to produce theirs and its fuggin sick (aka the opposite of commercial, tenny boppin, cookie-cutter crap like the majority of songs found in EAs list). I mean come on EA ....yellowcard? really? Jeezuz.....at least they dont have Red Jumpsuit on there this year, I would have to become emo and slit my wrists; up instead of across though; get it right emo kids... Nothin worse than crybaby pansyboys that want to play like they are in a rock band... end of rant :-)
Pleeease who cares about a soundtrack??! I put in my own soundtrack anyways. How about taken that money from licensing songs and putting it into something better like making a better football game!
Or, I guess I could take the time to turn all them off in the settings, but why make the effort when the mute button is so convenient.
By the way, dont diss Daddy Yankee and Don Omar! Luisen, you better not speak Spanish, cause if you did than you should know that songs like Corazones and Lo Que Paso dont sound alike. Also, Reggaeton Latino by Don Omar was one of the biggest songs ever, it put PR on the map for good! Dont diss the island!
Swizz Beatz, Don Omar, Pittbull, Daddy Yankee, Mims; sounds like a good list to me. Impacto is definitely the best song on there.
A few cool songs, a few no-names I don't know, a few bands/artists that suck total walrus pubes. At least EA is actually trying to do something to improve last year's lackluster game (the music was like trying to hug a kitten, then realizing you had a porcupine cuddled in your arms). Now about the all the missing features and overall lazy development...
What the heck is this? Daddy yankee? Don Omar? that isn't even music is just two idiots saying the same stuff over and over again, it's just noise with rithym...
What? Why EA? WWWHHHYYY??? Mommy Junkie (Daddy Yankee) and Don Patan (Don Omar) is the biggest SH*T in the music world!
Enter Shikari! Didn't think they were popular over there.. Decent ones include Atreyu, enter shikari, ozzy, shadows fall. Good mix of music in there, it's not that bad people. :S
CUSTOM SOUNDTRACKS ON THE 360 PEOPLE!!!!! why are you complaining, just turn them off, its EA "trax" what do you expect.
Aside from "I don't wanna stop" and "3s and 7s" this list sucks just as much as last years. Horrible job EA, except for those 2.
does it really matter anymore, with the new systems u can just listen to your own music when u play madden.
EA should allow players to have the option for extra soundtrack music downloadable from LIVE and PSN. I don't care what band or artist they are trying to promote. If they have better songs as an optional approach, maybe they wouldn't have people complain about the list every year.
