I'll probably buy this just for the game. I don't like how the zapper is set up much. The brando 2 in 1 will be much better in my opinion.

Will this one release in Japan? Since I've got a JP WII and I'm a huge Zelda / Link fan it would be nice to have this game also for my WII.

$20 for the Zapper and software? Even though it's only a shell, that seems like a more than fair price.

It's not meant to be like a rifle, it looks like it has the feel of a tommy gun. A stock for your shoulder would make any game stupidly easy (it's not like it's heavy or has recoil). I'm down for 20 bucks.

I love the Wii, with its motion sensing capabilities it really stands out. But I must say I'm really sorry. It just looks way too short, there's no aim, theres no stand for your shoulders, It doesnt even really look like a weapon. (try clicking on the Wii Weapon for the full view, you should understand..) I really love the Idea, having a Wii shooter, but its design is just....awful and disappointing. I'm sorry

oh and the game is just a fun little game to learn the controls and HOW TO HOLD the zapper dont bag out the control scheme when u don't even know what it is yet

just because there is a button up the front andthe nunchuck at the back why is that button automatically a trigger and why do people that hold the nunchuck with their left hand have to hold it with their left hand when it is in the zapper they said a new control scheme for zapper who says that z isn't the trigger

Isn't that "extra button" everyone is referring to just used to press the trigger on the Wiimote? The way I'm looking at it the button is just a lever used to engage the trigger in a more gun-like position.

So apparently, you can't pre-order/reserve this at any place I've been (GameStop, EB Games, Best Buy, CompUSA); pretty disappointing that Nintendo hasn't opened up the ability to pre-order this. Although maybe they'll have plenty made and ready to go at launch.

It's not just a shell, its got a button there on the handle! I don't know if it has it's own accelerometer, but it's definitely got some kind of internal system.

Link & everyone else is gonna be training that wat makes it coo. we are use to reguler controllers as link is use to using his sword. so it'll be coo to train with link who is a not a noob but not an expert at a crossbow either so yup thats awesome

Yes this is just a shell, but there is more going on with the Zapper then that, look at the controls for RE:UC, you have the basic point and shoot, and then you have the melee attack which is hitting with the butt of the gun. If you were playing this with the Nunchucku and Wiimote, you won't get the same kind of reaction. It just happens that the games is programed to have the Nunchucku placed behind the Wiimoteas shown in the zapper mold. I say we have a new age of FPS if this is done right

Well, at least the game is free when you buy the zapper. Let's just hope that the zapper gets good third party support, unlike guns for the last few generations of consoles that were only used by a few games such as Time Crisis or Silent Scope.

Imo the actual thing you buy is the zapper which i bet its going to be usable in other games coming ahead and the zelda is like a tester game for it. sounds nice

No The Wii Zapper dose more than act like a shell for the Wiimote, and the Nunchuk. It actuly changes how the game works. It uses those controls yes, but what it dose is it makes it so you have to aim and shoot like a real life foot solder might do. This means IMHO that the Nintendo Wii if EA would pick up on it! Could make a killer BF style game platform if done right. Also it has a brand new button on the bottom Thats not the Wiimotes trigger sticking out there thats part of the Wii Zapper. I will be getting MHO:H2 so I can have a finaly good online infantry game with realy good aiming system other than the crap tacular cone of fire crap that we gamers deal with most of the time.

If the zapper is just a shell, then why do they say games will be tailor made for the zapper? Also I heard Medal of Honor and RE:UC will have zapper control schemes as well as regular control schemes. If its just a shell why does it need its own control scheme? WTF!?

So I'm using a gun in place of a cross bow. People are only going to buy this product because it has Zelda, mainly because, after all, it's just a plastic shell. :|

Why's everyone whining about it killing the Zelda franchise or just being a cheap spinoff? Seriously, if it has Link in it, a game is automatically cooler, even if it's just a little minigame which was made to help people get used to the Zapper.

@gonzalesrl Dude, they're not "killing" Zelda. They're treating it as they did Wii Sports. A way to learn and get used to using the Wii's new platform, in this case, it would be the zapper. To cause such a ruckus over a spin-off, no, hardly even a spin-off, a SPAWN child, is ridiculous. Zelda will still be an awesome series, and on going at that. Get over it, if you don't like the idea, don't buy it.
