Lemmings going mobile
iFone picks up exclusive rights to the venerable puzzle game for mobile platforms.
Mobile gamers will be getting a chance to lead the long-standing army of green-haired rodents to safety--or destruction. iFone has picked up exclusive rights to bring the oft-ported puzzle game Lemmings to mobile platforms. First seen in 1990, Lemmings challenges players to lead a group of dim-witted animals across treacherous levels by assigning individual lemmings specific skills, such as building bridges or stopping traffic. Under the terms of the agreement with Psygnosis, iFone will be able to publish Lemmings games in Europe and North America, with the first game hitting phones by the end of the year.
