Lego Batman series sales hit 14.4 million
Sequel DC Super Heroes sells 3.4 million, pushing franchise to new sales milestone.
The Lego Batman series has now sold 14.4 million copies since it launched in 2008.
Warner Bros. announced today that sequel Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes has sold 3.4 million copies since launch in June, adding to the 11 million units the 2008 original Lego Batman has sold as of January 2012.
A Wii U version of Lego Batman 2: Super Heroes is currently in development and is due later this spring.
Though a third entry in the series has not been announced, Lego games fans are not without new projects to look forward to.
Lego Marvel Super Heroes from TT Games and a Lego massively multiplayer online game from Age of Conan and The Secret World developer Funcom are currently in development.
