Really Looking forward to it, I have been keeping up with the news on this game and i hope it comes out next year, five years in the making i believe it will be worth it. This game would be my fifth game that i have played that has been created by Rockstar. The GTA series does not really interest me. I have been waiting for a game like this for ages, can't wait to see it :)
L.A. Noire getting new trailer Thursday
Team Bondi's delayed interactive detective thriller receiving fresh video this week; still no release date offered.
L.A. Noire was first teased as a PlayStation 3 exclusive at E3 2005. A year later, Rockstar Games picked up publishing rights to it and revealed that the title would land on both the PS3 and the Xbox 360. In late August it was reported that the game would miss its projected 2010 release date and hit retail sometime during 2011. Now, Rockstar is ready to shed some light on the dark game.
Rockstar Games today sent word that L.A. Noire is set to receive its first trailer this Thursday, November 11, at noon Eastern time. Rockstar's jump to call the trailer the "first" for the game is odd, as there are already two official trailers for the title. Unfortunately, the publisher did not mention what it plans to reveal within the trailer.
The debut effort from Australia-based Team Bondi, L.A. Noire takes place in 1940s Los Angeles, a popular setting for detective films and novels. The game will have players entangled in a violent web of vice, corruption, and crime in the titular metropolis's underworld, tasked with solving a series of murders in what Rockstar describes as an "open-ended challenge."
Rockstar cofounder and creative director Sam Houser is executive-producing L.A. Noire, with Team Bondi founder Brendan McNamara (writer and director of The Getaway) serving as director of development.
