Really Looking forward to it, I have been keeping up with the news on this game and i hope it comes out next year, five years in the making i believe it will be worth it. This game would be my fifth game that i have played that has been created by Rockstar. The GTA series does not really interest me. I have been waiting for a game like this for ages, can't wait to see it :)
Team Bondi's delayed interactive detective thriller receiving fresh video this week; still no release date offered.
L.A. Noire was first teased as a PlayStation 3 exclusive at E3 2005. A year later, Rockstar Games picked up publishing rights to it and revealed that the title would land on both the PS3 and the Xbox 360. In late August it was reported that the game would miss its projected 2010 release date and hit retail sometime during 2011. Now, Rockstar is ready to shed some light on the dark game.
Rockstar Games today sent word that L.A. Noire is set to receive its first trailer this Thursday, November 11, at noon Eastern time. Rockstar's jump to call the trailer the "first" for the game is odd, as there are already two official trailers for the title. Unfortunately, the publisher did not mention what it plans to reveal within the trailer.
The debut effort from Australia-based Team Bondi, L.A. Noire takes place in 1940s Los Angeles, a popular setting for detective films and novels. The game will have players entangled in a violent web of vice, corruption, and crime in the titular metropolis's underworld, tasked with solving a series of murders in what Rockstar describes as an "open-ended challenge."
Rockstar cofounder and creative director Sam Houser is executive-producing L.A. Noire, with Team Bondi founder Brendan McNamara (writer and director of The Getaway) serving as director of development.
The fact that this game didn't get canceled due to the vast amount of delay is a really good news, looking forward to see the trailer.
this is what video games need right now...creative ideas for new games and not more milked call of duty...thats why this and Bioshock Infinite are near the top of my list :)..hope a realese date is put into the trailer
I hope they don't screw up the game trying to make it work on the 360. I bought my ps3 first because of the 360 failure rate and second because I expect exclusives that maximize the power of the ps3 like uncharted 2.
@ Ravenlore_basic Rockstar bragged about how this game is going to have their biggest open world ever (bigger then San Andreas?!) so I'm also sorta perplexed how its going to work on the xbox without being a multi-disk release. And I'm not talking about 2 disks here but actually multiple disks. Well either that or graphics are gonna have to suffer. Oh well, I'm sure glad that Agent is being developed exclusively for ps3.
I am still wondering how they will make it equal on both PS3 and Xbox 360. It was going to take up a lot of GIGS so multi-disks will be needed. . . . - _ - . . . - _ - . . . I wonder if they continued to work on the Engine to make it better as its been a while since its been in production. IF they are using an OLD ENGINE around 2006 then THIS GAME WILL SUCK. so much has been done to the every PS3 game engine that old games just do not cut it.
i want another bully game, if they make a 2nd one with the improvments that i'm thinking it will sell as well as gta and red dead did.
THIS WILL BE THE GREATES GAME EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (until gta 5 or AGENT) btw finally AFTER 5 YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice. Hopefully the xbox 360 port won't be too far behind. But it's cool if its going to be the same deal as with San Andreas. That was one of the games that you had to buy a ps2 for. This and Agent will probably have the same effect on ps3.
@hailhellfire..i dont think it has nothin to do with RDR. LA.N IS A very high end game and exspensive with the new motion tech there using i think its gonna take a little more time to tweak and polish this type of a master piece and i hope they take as much time as they need to get it right
Nice! I am not surprised that it did not come out this year. I think Rockstar made a good decision in not making this game come out in 2010 b/c they didn't want a distraction from the sales they picked up from Red Dead Redemption. On the other hand, it does suck to wait another year, from the 5 that they already started with. I have a feeling that this game will be pretty f-ing fantastic; since this is the 1st noir game (not counting super hero noir) with an open world. If taking longer means a superb "A" list title, than I have no problem with being patient & knowing that the game is the top of the line.
Finally! I've been waiting over a year ATLEAST to see something new on this game. Looking forward to it
