Snake didnt die in MGS4 and maybe the Sequest will continue Seeing Raiden cutting cars and Buidlings makes it Sick , Hope MGS5 will be for Snake and Raiden somehow part of it
New Japanese-language job listings indicate Konami is moving forward with a new installment in iconic action adventure franchise.
In July, Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima said as part of an interview with Enterbrain CEO Hirokazu Hamamura that he had two choices for his next project: make Metal Gear Solid 5 or make an original game. It appears as if the famed designer's fate has been determined, as Andria Sang reports today that Kojima Productions has begun seeking "Next Generation Metal Gear Solid Series Production Staff."
According to Andria Sang's translation of the job listings, Kojima Productions is seeking planners, programmers, and CG designers for the project. Planners being synonymous with designers, the Konami subsidiary is looking for level creators and scripters for the project. The CG descriptions, according to the translation, seek employees familiar with concept art, 3D character modeling, 3D stage modeling, 3D character motion design, event scene production, effect production, and interface design.
As for programmers, Kojima Productions is staffing up on those with experience in graphics, networks, plug-ins, audio, and game characters. The programming listings also seek those with experience working on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. A network job req also indicates that the Metal Gear Solid title will have an online component.
Considering the breadth of job openings for the project, it seems likely that the listings are for an all-new Metal Gear project. However, it is worth noting that Kojima Productions could be staffing up for Metal Gear Solid: Rising, which was first announced for the Xbox 360 at the 2009 Electronic Entertainment Expo and later confirmed for the PS3 and PC. Further, an image associated with the listings shows the faces of Rising star Raiden, as well as series protagonist Solid Snake.

I can tell you from the horses mouth that it looks like there will be no Roy Campbell or Snake in Metal Gear Rising. I attended a comic convention in Australia and asked Paul Eiding if was going to be in rising and he said to me that neither he nor David Hayter have been contacted about being in the game.
Im hoping they make mgs5 and all that comes after it on the PC....i know you can get the first 2 MGS games on the pc....but i just cant play them with the weird controls
I had no idea who Snake was until Super Smash Bros Brawl. But now i'm hooked on the series, too bad i don't have a PS3. Only got to play MGS 2 and 3. Eager to have the series of the xbox.
I'm all for more games in the Metal Gear universe, but I DON'T want Metal Gear Solid 5. MGS4 gave us a succinct sense of closure for the series, and I'd hate to see that cheapened by a cash-grab continuation.
What about HD remakes of MGS1 and 2 on PSN at least, and if possible for our friends who like Microsoft, XBOX Live?
so.. no more exclusivity right?thats nice so they hire a lots of new people ? does Konami runs out of designer, editor, ?
Are they going to hire an editor, so I can spend the majority of my time playing the game instead of watching it?
One thing for sure here = Snake is no more,,,,he's dead by now,,,unless by any chance Dr Naomi or anyone has discovered means of stoping his rapid aging process......So whatever story he wants to come up with it's not snake bound .....
Kojim games take a while to develop and they are looking for staff now? It makes me think we are not seeing this new game for a while at least its the Raiden game... Also, Id like to see the day that Kojima comes up with something else (I only know ZotE or MGS that he did)
It would have been better if he just bothered to make an original game, Something new and exciting would be much better than another sequel (even though they are good sequels), I want to see Kojima stretch his creative muscle.
I'm so disappointed, I was really hoping Hideo Kojima would start a new franchise, but part of me knew it wasn't going to happen. Modern gamers tend to not raise the bar for developpers, and just go for the same old stuff. The result being now there are two metal gear games in the making at the same damn time and we haven't seen a new major franchise from Kojima since Zone of the enders and that was 9 years ago..
Metal Gear Solid 5 is inevitable. The closure of the 4 can only help 5 in my opinion - Kojima has more breathing space now.
If they do make another MGS, it has to be Raiden as the new main hero, and that's it. Snake will always be MGS for me, but bringing him back or any alteration of him after MGS4, would be stupid. MGS4 ended the series perfectly, which Is why I'm also 50-50 on a new MGS. I'm also starting too think that Kojima is milking the MGS franchise a bit much now.
Part of me wants me to play more Metal Gear Solid games, but another part of me wants the series to stay at rest. I don't know :?
The only response I have to this article is that I haven't even played MGS4 or Peace Walker yet. Don't get me wrong I have both just haven't played them yet same with the Acid series.
@Ciphas well done. I knew it wasn't Solid Snake because when he got the Solid Eye, he already had grey hair every where.
I don't think is going to be a remake, they will somehow pull a new story after the events of MGS4 and we will like it
There is mention of an image containing Raiden and Solid Snake - yet the only image I can see is one with Raiden and Big Boss. Solid Snake is no where to be seen. There are a number of possibilities as to what this could be about: - To help finish MG Rising. - To work on a new Big Boss game. - To remake MG and MG2 in 3D. None of them contain "Old" Snake (Rising might, but he won't be playable). Personally, I don't see what else they can do with Big Boss, doesn't Peace Walker lead into the original MG in Zanzibar - which would be a Solid Snake game, and would be way more interesting to play as in my opinion.
@andalore I agree, I don't want to play Old Snake again, I think it was a brilliant way they ended the series with MGS4.
Make a Metal Gear that lets you play as the characters from AC!D, Portable OPS, Peace Walker and all the MG spinoffs.
it sucks to hear that kojima is not making a new game does he have no fresh ideas in that head of his
I kinda wanna play a game with a new Snake, maybe one that doesn't realise he's a clone, maybe in a crowded urban setting like the Last Splinter Cell game was going to be like before they changed it. But just as long as it isn't Old Snake again I'll be happy.
"as well as series protagonist Solid Snake" uuh... isn't that a picture of Big Boss...? He's wearing camo and has an eye patch, I'm pretty sure that is NOT Solid Snake. Another Metal Gear Big Boss game?
i dont wanna play as snake again unless they found a way to cure an make him young again, plaese find a way to make him young again! mgs5 young snake ftw!
Im a major fan of MGS but PLEASE MAKE A NEW ZONE OF THE ENDERS INSTEAD A remake of Metal Gear 1,2 would be pretty epic since most of todays youth and such have never had a chance to play em
As great as Metal Gear is, I would have liked either an original game, or a new edition to one of his more neglected series, another Snatcher would be nice, as would another Policenauts game , even some sort of spiritual sequel would be good.
keep up with MGS games! if things got after msg4 will be pretty impressive.looking forward to see rising.every mgs game is a great game.
i just hope it doesnt take 5 more years, feels like MGS4 came out eons ago, and im already eagerly awaiting the next one.
Even though MGS4 was a great and believable ending I would love another MGS game. There are just so many characters in it and with Hideo at the helm the story is bound to be epic. This is one series which never disappoints so bring it ON!!
I think they should remake Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. but if there is not enough storyline for each, just make both into one big game
@Foxrock66 I've only played the remake on GCN and Grey Fox made the game in that one, so I have to agree 100%.
@Kevz0 but you do have to agree that it would be pretty cool to see what this franchise would be like if taken in a new direction...i think Rising looks awesome, but i KNOW it wont be as good as MGS4...
