Kingdom Hearts GBA SP for Japan
The limited-edition set will bundle Square Enix's Disney RPG with a silver-colored system and a carrying strap.
Final Fantasy collectors are about to get a little poorer, for Square Enix has announced another hardware bundle in Japan. Next month, the company will release a limited-edition set for its upcoming Game Boy Advance RPG Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, various fan sites reported this weekend. The set will contain the game software, a "Kingdom deep silver" GBA SP with a Kingdom Hearts logo on the face, and a carrying strap.
The bundle will be priced at 16,080 yen ($147). The stand-alone game will sell for 6,279 yen ($57).
This will not be the first time that Square Enix has released such a package--similar sets featuring limited-edition SP colors were released alongside Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and Sword of Mana. In addition, a "Crystal white" GameCube system was produced at the launch of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, although it was available only through special contests.
Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories is the GBA sequel to the Square Enix-Disney crossover RPG on the PlayStation 2. It will release in Japan on November 11, and in the US on December 4. For more on the game, check out GameSpot's hands-on impressions of the English version.
