@XanderZane You are quite right Weapons Lord was also a great game...would like a download version as well. If you have a PS3 try out "Dark Awake: the king has no name" on PSN Japan. You have to create a Japanese PSN Account if you are in the states and navigate thru some crazy menus (because I can't read Japanese) but the game is quite fun. Think of it as King of Fighters or Marvel vs Capcom with wizzards and warriors. It is a old title only released in Japan but it will work no problem on a U.S. PS3. Also you will have to go to Play-Asia.com to buy a 1,000 Yen PSN Card Digital (which costs about $16) however that is the same cost as the game. Play Asia emails you the code which you redeem on your J PSN account then buy, download, install and enjoy.
King of Fighters XIII preorders get 4-disc soundtrack set
Atlus unveils bonus for October return of long-running SNK fighting franchise; tunes to be pulled from span of entire series.
The King of Fighters XIII is set to hit shelves this October, and Atlus is heralding its coming with a suitably regal preorder campaign. Today the publisher announced that those who preorder the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 version of the game from participating retailers will receive a four-CD soundtrack set, composed of tunes pulled from the series' 18-year history.
The first installment in the series since King of Fighters XII rebuilt it from the ground up in 2009, King of Fighters XIII will expand the roster from 22 characters to more than 30. Among the additions will be fan-favorite Mai, as well as King, Vice, K', Yuri, Maxima, and Billy Kane.
In addition to including faster fights and new "Neomax" super moves, Atlus is "completely revamping" the game's online mode, a significant point of criticism with the previous entry in the series. King of Fighters XIII will also feature new modes and stages not seen in the arcade release, though the publisher has not yet detailed those.
This will be the first time that Atlus handles publishing duties for the series. King of Fighters XII was published by Ignition, while previous installments were released by SNK Playmore itself.
