Kinect Star Wars delayed

I don't care how bad the game is going to be, that is not why I'll be buying it. The 360 and controller looks awesome and I can't wait to have my own R2 unit to play COD and Gears of War on!!!!

This is impossible, even for a computer.

That R2 is fitted with a restraining bolt? Was there Hutt involvement at this presentation?

Kinect was aimed too much towards the Wii. Microsoft totally disregarded the hardcore gamers and tried to make a device to boost sales of the 360 to people who were coming from a Wii or considering a Wii. Microsoft fails at marketing, and it's apparent again. They have a conflict of identity and now have a product that doesn't have great 3rd party support. So far, Kinect is a fail in terms of longevity. Sure, it'll sell, and that's all they care about...but in terms of actual use, I kinda think it's peaked. Sad, because it hardly got used.

The problem with Kinect is that real games don't work with it. It's cool to help you exercise in a more fun way, but that's it.

The only thing that's going to be realized is how badly this game is going to suck. Just like all the other "hard-core" games coming out for the Kinect. Best thing that could happen is that the release the console, which is cool, with all the Lego SW games instead.

I've already pre-ordered mine, but I can wait. They need to fix the game. Graphics need to be improved and the control is very laggy. The game needs a lot of work so I'm kind of happy with the delay. The Rancor running rampage demonstration did not look great. I still have high hopes for the game.

The console and control actually look pretty cool. But its obvious how bad the kinect game has looked. It was a cool idea but theyre just doing it in a weird way, I dont think will work out well.

off topic, but i cant imagine how bad that gold controller will show fingerprints and smudges.

They realized that for the game to "reach it's full potential" they had to make it controlled by the Move, since then you could have one-to-one lightsaber control. sorry, just trolling, and lamenting an opportunity lost.

I have a bad feeling about this.

I can't imagine this being anything other than a pretty looking bore of a game. Kinect is not the way forward. It seems to limit game play more than it claims to expand it. I wish someone would develop a proper Star Wars game for the Xbox. What about a revised version of the X-Wing series? The Xbox is seriously short of space combat games and that's one that could have the potential to be a massive hit. I still play the old PC version. Also missing a good Star Wars FPS.

Why are people still being negative about the kinect I don't see Sony or Nintendo with anything better ms should keep getting kudos for bringing something new to gaming no matter what.this is only the start but its picking up speed fast. People always act ignorant when things start to change get over it.

From what I've seen it did still need a spit and polish, but even then it didn't look that brilliant.. I suppose you're quite limited though with an on the rails game like this; without a 'nunchuk' type of controller for basic movement it's going to be hard to get away from such games though. Don't get me wrong it looks alright, but the potential for it could have been huge.

I don't even care anymore about the kinect unless its price drops to $60 with a packaged game. This game would make me buy a kinect for that price.

I think thats a good thing, it needs more action and atmosphere from what I've heard of the previews etc, its seems very much run of the mill and the pallet is a bit bland... 360a.org has seen it a couple of times and they weren't impressed. i'm looking forward to the game but I'm glad they've decided not to rush it

Crap! I REALLY WANT that console! The game itself is an add-on. Oh, and the podracing sounds good. :)

Well the good news is that they realised the "pack in" game sucked. So they delayed it and are trying to make the game better. kinect is not suited to anything but mini games. At least MS gets a A for effort. It would be difficult to play a star wars game without a controller. Well give them credit for a least trying. So no Star wars bundle for Christmas.

That console and controller are the sweetest thing since sugar. I'd pay $60 for that controller.

Maybe they will just keep delaying it and never release it for the sake of gaming.

There is no potential for this game, potential to be the worst game on 360 is what it has.

@Reuwsaat I think there is a good chance that the game may not live up to expectations, but you're right, that controller does look awesome! I really hyped for the console and I wouldn't care if it came with The Golden Compass, I still want that bundle!lol

This is a smart move on the part of Lucasarts. The game clearly needs more development time (read any impressions from the game at E3 to see what I mean) and so now it's going to get that. Hopefully, a much better product will be the result.

I preordered this a over month ago, and would gladly buy it without the game... Oh well, there goes one of my christmas presents :(

OK, so if they delay this so its "full potential is realized" and it isn't completely amazing when it does come out can we finally forget about Kinect? Or at least quit reporting about it.
