Kim Rom appointed VP of eSports at CBS Interactive

Meet Kim RomAn 18-year marketing and editorial executive, Rom has spent nearly his entire career championing the eSports community. He most recently served as chief marketing officer for gaming peripherals manufacturer SteelSeries, where he oversaw professional team sponsorships worldwide and managed partnerships with the industry's best-known brands. He worked for SteelSeries in the company's home headquarters in Denmark and, most recently, in the United States. Under his leadership, the company's revenues surged from less than $1 million to more than $77 million annually due to innovative word-of-mouth and eSports community-building strategies.Rom joined SteelSeries from XplayN.com, the biggest competitive gaming website in Denmark, where he oversaw more than 40 editorial and administrative staff.
