Killzone 3 From the Ashes add-on hits June 21
Third $5 map pack for Guerrilla Games' PlayStation 3-exclusive shooter bringing four fresh battlefields next Tuesday; $10 DLC Bundle Pack also coming.
Guerrilla Games' PlayStation 3-exclusive Killzone 3 was released in late February to warm critical reception. The sci-fi shooter later added the Retro and Steel Rain map packs. Now, the game's multiplayer universe is growing further with a new add-on due out next week.
Debuting on the PlayStation Network on June 21 will be the From the Ashes map pack for Killzone 3. The $5 content includes four maps: two for the game's Guerrilla Warfare mode and two for its Warzone mode.
The new Guerrilla Warfare map is Mobile Factory, which is set on a moving resource production facility. The fresh Warzone environment is Lente Missile Base, which takes place inside an abandoned missile base at the edge of the Kaznan Jungle.
Guerrilla's announcement of the content noted that From the Ashes would be composed of four maps. However, only two were revealed in the announcement on the PlayStation Blog. The other two maps will be shown "soon," according to Guerrilla Games.
In addition to the new content, gamers who missed out on the first two batches of add-on content can grab both packs and the new From the Ashes content for a bundled rate. The Retro, Steel Rain, and From the Ashes map packs will be bundled into a $10 DLC Bundle Pack, set to go on sale on Tuesday as well.
