EA led the year off by announcing a major overhaul was in store for its long-running Need for Speed franchise. With sales in the franchise slipping, the publisher opted to split the experience into three distinct games, each catering to a different audience. The first of those games, Need for Speed Shift, will cruise onto the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PSP, and PC next week.
In advance of that release, EA has announced which tunes Shift purchasers can expect to hear in the game. As has been true of other game properties, EA has loaded the Shift soundtrack with a wide selection of tunes from artists based around the globe. The soundtrack features 24 tunes in total, with headline acts including Kanye West, The Prodigy, Kasabian, and MSTRKRFT.
