Kane & Lynch's Dog Days begin August 24

The first game was a decent one. If you haven't played the first one, you can grab an used copy for as low as 10 bucks. Story wise it was cool and lengthy for this kind of game. I'll wait for a complete review just to make sure.

i would say that kane and linch was one of the best games... story wise. it didnt have great graphics, any replay value. but it had one of the best characters that i had oportunity to play with. amazing story line and character development. will get this one for sure

Kane & Lynch wasn't that bad of a game. Didn't agree w/gamespot's review of it but no one needs to get fired over it. Haha. This one seems okay. I'll wait for gameplay vids before making a judgment.

@Richardthe3rd, Have to disagree with you Richard. The first K&L might not have been a big hit but it certainly had an interesting premise, characters and ideas. Take Hitman as an example. The first game was poor but its sequels built on the ideas of it and became very successful.

Hmm, it amazes me how gamedevelopers make sequels for everything, even when the game did not did well. I guess its easier for them to develop on a ready template and improve it and call it a sequel rather making a new ip from scratch.

Plus K&L is a good game,Pervious time we were suffocating developers for games like hit-man ,Vampire and blade of darkness ,but i discovered that was the age of the greatest games but the best of those games got a 8/10 What do you say about FPS invasion this days games like kane and lynch must be in the industry if we keep this attitude against Eidos we will end with halo and killzone clones all over the planet

I enjoy shooting stuff just as much as the next guy but I'm having a hard time understanding how Eidos justified funding/publishing a sequel for this really poor game. Eidos has a pretty good IP library that they consistently miss the mark with. Resurrecting this title makes about as much sense as showing up to a formal ball in a pair of torn 501's and a wife-beater.

So I have to ask. How much will Gamespot kiss the butt of Eidos and Square to make up for the brutally honest review Jeff gave the fist game? Honestly that was the biggest black mark on game reviewing ever. I really hope Gamespot has a pair and 1 let someone give and honest review of the game and 2 not fire them over it.

@ Rottenwood You know what? It is sad.. Sad because today's market is just full of Call of Duty and Halo. And why is that? Probably because of Xbox Live, but don't get me wrong. Xbox Live is great by itself and for what it did for the gaming market, but what happened in it got way, WAY out of control. Stupid 12 year-olds thinking they're the best mutha'f***ka in the hood, because their parents (who think that their child is an angel incarneted into a human) bought them a Xbox and also bought him Xbox Live. Again. And Again. And Again. And Again...

K&L wasnt a bad game at all, nice a vicious. IT was flawed but was a good start into something different, im glad there is a sequel coming

Just goes to show: it doesn't matter how mediocre your game was; if it looks decent enough and lets you shoot people, you'll probably sell enough units to get a sequel, no matter how undeserved. Demon's Souls, Game of the Year: struggling to sell 250K. Kane And Lynch, Mediocre Shooter At Best: gets full sequel and movie rights sold. Kinda sad.

I've said this many times before, I just hope they fix the gun accuracy thats all I hated about the first one. When you shoot or (backstab) somebody in fragile alliance, it shouldn't seem like the bullets are going around the person,

Also K&L sold pretty well and fragile alliance was really good shame its so hard to find players for a 3 yr old game

Come on guys stop hating on K&L it was a good game and a blast to play with a friend. I usually trust GS reviews but a 6 was not fair

Instead of making Hitman 5 they are developing this. Just hoping IO interactive will work on Hitman 5 after this.

I disagree with you for the first time gamespot. I got info from a VERY reliable source that Dog Days is gonna be out on 05/31/10 or 06/01/10.

I loved the first and am for sure picking this up day one. Good idea to not throw it in the crowded holiday season too.

never played it before, might pick it up though (the 1st one). But I doubt I'd be able to play through it. :(

The looks much better then the first title.

It's just like Hitman, when they made Codename 47 it sucked, but the sequel was better.So i think the sequel of this trilogy won't be that much of messed up Crap the last one was.(By the way The first one had great ideas just not in the right way)

Why make a sequel to the mediocre Kane and Lynch when you can make a sequel to Freedom Fighters which is a much better IO game?
