I look at all of the good fun open world hero and antihero games and I see that if other developers can achieve that level of engaging and fun game play then it is totally possible to create an awesome superman game. Man when I look at Batman Arkham Asylum and the much bigger Batman Arkham City. I know somebody out there can do a Superman game just right. The Superman Return game serves as a template for further development because the flight gameplay has already been solved by one developer "EA Tiburon." All that's needed is for a talented and experienced game developer to pick up where "EA Tiburon" left off. Yes Superman is almost invincible. However just like in the comics or cartoons, the only thing that can harm Superman or give Superman a difficult time are *(Super Powered Villains, Intelligent Villains, Kryptonite and Magic.) Divide the activities up into regular everyday missions and major missions. Use the regular missions of saving ordinary everyday people from a variety of accidents, dangers, robberies for fillers when in free mode. And use the major missions to drive the story along. Superman can be challenged with properly developed and arranged elements consisting of *The game items listed. There is so much good material in the Superman comics, goodness even in Superman Animated Series & Justice League TV Series. So much script material and ideas. Instead of just trying to reinvent the wheel or create a direct movie version of the game. I'm not saying it's easy. I'm just saying it's possible. (Sigh) However, finding the right developer for the job is extremely difficult it seems. Anyway, just a few small ideas among many.
Just Cause dev not making Superman game
Avalanche Studios founder denies that developer is working on title based on comic book hero.
Just Cause developer Avalanche Studios is making a game based on a comic book franchise, but it's not Superman. Studio founder Christofer Sundberg revealed the news responding to a question from Superannuation on Twitter.
"Superman game? We do a lot of weird things but that's not one of them," Sundberg wrote.
Avalanche Studios announced last year that in addition to an open-world title with Square Enix, the developer was making two additional games: one based on a movie and another based on a comic book franchise.
Sundberg has released two teaser images from one of Avalanche's in-development projects, which could be unveiled at the 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo this summer.
The images bear a resemblance to the Just Cause franchise, though the company has yet to officially announce any of its upcoming projects.
