iPad mini debuting this month?

 @Danny_KickAzz  @warhawk-geeby These new resolutions are already here... its just the trickle down effect that will take a couple of years. Once all TV's, monitors, touch screens etc are all the seamless PPI that resolution tech race is ended. All you do to push that as a selling feature is then additional enhancements like 3D or new surfaces like electronic paper. Really what we are witnessing is the end of screen based resolution race now that the human eye limitation has kicked in. In terms of phone screen tech Apple got there first with the retina display on their iPhone 4 release 2.5yrs ago. Everyone else may claim more pixels than a retina display now while playing catch up but the fact is more pixels beyond what is perceivable by the human eye (which is what retina display was all about) = a hollow / meaningless claim given that our limited human eyes can't make out any difference from this point onwards.

 @damo320  @warhawk-geeby Well having  high Resolution/PPI is surprisingly a big deal these days..since the tech is still young..For a great example of such would be the use of Multi-touch, touch screens which at the time was a young technology...years later its now a standard. So soon High resolution/PPI will be the new standard but in the mean time that would take years to get there... Yet Certain phones manufacturers will be at that point early as it did with multi-touch.

 @Danny_KickAzz  @warhawk-geeby Yes but what I was getting at is given the plateau in perceivable pixel resolution which is currently occuring... does that mean anything now or going in to the future? In 2 or 3 years time when every phone has a screen with a PPI which is so high that it matters not to the human eye what would be the point of marketing that as a selling feature? To hold PPI up as a selling factor at this late stage in proceedings is neither here nor there. It is almost inconsequential. 

 @damo320  @warhawk-geeby Well man ha as you say "claiming higher pixel content than the Lumia" " is that a worthy "added bonus"? "  On paper then of course it would be an added bonus :D but does that mean its a better phone? possibly...When your researching Tech specs do you only look at the Resolution/PPI and only judge the phone of it on that fact alone!? nope, But when your judging a phone, and just of if it happens that Higher Resolution/PPI was higher than other competitors is that to you a bonus? then yes.. ^w^  

 @Danny_KickAzz  @warhawk-geeby If it helps you sleep better at night buddy ;) Screen resolution for all media will within the next few years reach a maximum threshold. After that it becomes about improving the definition and quality of the content shown on those amazing screens. Just out of curiosity... if another phone came out claiming higher pixel content than the Lumia but to the human eye those extra pixels may as well be invisible / not noticeable is that a worthy "added bonus"? :P lol

 @damo320  @warhawk-geeby Yeah I feel yah for what your saying about PPI...But you cant deny High resolution or PPI adds a difference no matter how high  it may be....So in other words its an added bonus with the Lumia 920.

 @Danny_KickAzz  @warhawk-geeby If you tried hard enough bro you'd find videos of people hammering nails into wood with dried hardened dog sh*t. Doesn't mean I think its better than something engineered. PPI is redundant the moment it is high enough that pixels are not visible to the human eye. Hence resolution has a maximum cut off point because of the limitations of the human eye. So while being first on the market with a high PPI was worth bragging about - it essentially is a non feature as all future screens will eventually plateau at the same end point.

 @rarson You should choose the software you prefer bro but as far as hardware Nokia is one of the worst on the market. They do cheap better than everyone else - I'll give them that.

 @damo320  @warhawk-geeby So if the material is all Cheap (As you say..) then why is there videos hammering nails into wood with the phone to prove how strong the material is!? Also with the PPI yet  its something that will  give people courtesy to gloat over everybody else's phones :P also  Higher PPI just adds to the deliciousness.

Yeah, it's cheaper because it doesn't have an Apple logo on it.

As long as the phone doesn't break in my pocket during normal use and can withstand several drops relatively unscathed, the most important thing in a phone to me is the software that it runs, and unfortunately, while the iPhone 5 is great hardware, the software just plain sucks. iOS just isn't as functional, customizable, or easy to use as Android, and the way that Apple locks the OS down really sucks.

 @Danny_KickAzz  @warhawk-geeby All encased in a cheaper container. There is a reason it is cheaper. The screen isn't the be all end all either. Once you have gone beyond a certain PPI there is little consequence because the human eye will perceive little difference.

 @damo320  @warhawk-geeby  Lol Dude are you Kidding?? I Own A Lumia 900 and it is probably one of the best phones out there! (and yes i used an iphone 4s and a lumia 900 tops it...Dont judge till you actually use one and for a fact you will be pleasantly surprised) also have you looked at the specs in the 920? it has a higher PPI then a Iphone 5, greater camera, and it has wireless charging...ect!

WP8 sounds like it's a pretty good OS from what I've heard. Definitely has some advantages over Android, like smoothness.

The iPhone 5 is definitely faster than the dual-core S3. Kudos to Apple for a good design, their first custom SoC. I'm not sure that it's faster than the quad-core S3s, but from what I've read it doesn't sound like they are all that much faster than the dual-core S3s (probably because software isn't really utilizing the two extra cores). So I'm guessing that the iPhone probably still is faster than the quad-core S3, because it's about as fast as an iPad.

The other thing is, the iPhone has good battery life, better than either S3. So from a hardware standpoint, the iPhone 5 is impressive. The OS, however, sucks.

 @u1tradt  @Mkeegs79 Actually you sound an Android Fanboy yourself... If you read his comment right, you can see how CLEARLY he stated "Some Androids might have better stats but its been proven that the iphone is superiour in speed and power."

And he's not wrong! In fact it was tested agains a S3 and was faster then it, despite the hardware differences! So before insulting anyone, think twice and read their comments correctly!

PS: I'm no Fanboy myself, but I've read the same article he did... so Go take a walk calm down and apply water to burned areas.

 @jblp oh I see, well if it's what YOU want then im sure gamespot will apologise unreservedly for their faux pas and withdraw from featured like this post haste. maybe even sit you on the board of experts to review everything that is hardcore so that we mere mortals can never be led astray again.
