Not sure what I hate more Apple or The media having an "Orgasm" every time apple announces something... either way Surface TabHERE I COME W00T!1

I see no reason for people to be mad at Apple for releasing a new product. If people like it and buy it thats their decision.  No point in bashing a company for making money, thats their job, whether the product/service is useless or not.

So make the iPod touch larger rename it the pad. Shrink it right back down and call it something else and make a stupid amount of money in the process.

I wish I could make stupid amounts of things people don't need or already have and still have people buy them for a ridiculous price.

All the ipad mini is going to be is a samsung galaxy note minus the phone part just watch.  And when the galaxy note came out everyone said "thats too big to be a phone, too small for a tablet, it can't fit in your pocket, it will feel uncomfortable in your pocket, you will look stupid talking on it, blah blah blah" all the apple  sheep will be like "ZOMG ITS SIZE IS SO REVOLUTIONARY I NEED TO BUY ONE SO I CAN HAVE A SMALLER TABLET FOR ON THE GO WHEN MY IPHONE IS TOO SMALL!!!!"  And to top it off next month most of these same people will be on the news talking about how we should all feel bad about buying products on black friday lol.

Am I the only one who thinks that the iPad is a great size? I watch videos on it all the time, use it on the treadmill, watch netflix right before I go to sleep. I really wouldn't want something smaller.

Eventually Apple will shrink the iPhone down so it can fit in your fingertip. Then Apple will buy the rights to E.T. and change his famous phrase to "iPhone home".

every few months, less than 6. Apple has a stupid new product to sell that does exactly the same thing but is just a little bigger or smaller.

im fed up with there cr*p! get some new ideas! wait longer and make more of a change. i think they could wait 1 year or longer so u can actually notice an upgrade. they change the stupidest things and call it all new! They have become so money hungry the need to disappear again now. Ive had enough of Apple!

With the new ipods, iPhones, iPads, and now this ipad mini... apple had completely cornered the entire touchscreen handheld market. Not that i dont like apple, just amazed by how successful they are.

Guessing it will be a 5 inch or 6 inch "phablet", in which case Samsung should be able to sue them for copying the Galaxy Note.

Then they'll release the iPod Touch Xl whch will be one inch smaller than an iPad Mini.  Then, an iPad Mini Xl which will be one inch smaller than an iPad, followed by the iPad Max which will essentially be the size of a television.

Well, why not? They got everyone to buy into the iPad, which is basically an oversized iPod Touch. Shrink the iPad down a bit, give it a new name, and the hoards will buy it all over again.

I like how there's really no reason for this redesign. Apple KNOWS people will fall for this.

Next they'll release the iPad Micro and the iPad TeenyTiny.  Eventually they'll come full circle and release the iPad Gigantor and the iPad SkyScaper.  Each one will cost about the same, and occasionally will require you to buy all new charging and data cables as Apple changes the connector type. 

Pretty sure Apple fans will have a dozen devices,  multiple sizes and will use them like fashion accessories.  Are those belts hanging in your closet?  Nope, that's the assortment of Apple charging cables, different types of cables depending on the iDevice you'll use today.

Seriously Eddie, just STOP with the tech articles.  You are bringing absolutely NOTHING of value to Gamespot's website by writing a half-assed tech article that says absolutely nothing about gaming.

At the very least talk about games on the iPad min or SOMETHING that has to do with games.

If we wanted tech articles we'd all be looking elsewhere, on actual tech news sites.  

correct me if im wrong but isnt the windows 8 tablets coming out this month basically a touch screen friendly fully operating windows OS.

If it is.,... that would be freaking amazing. Rather get a fully operational windows OS than the limited Mac/Android.

I have wanted an iPad since they were released, but it was too big so I instead got a 7in Android tablet just over a year ago. This iPad mini is perfect to replace my 7in Android tablet my aging iPhone 3.

So I can't wait as I will be ordering an iPad mini as soon as they are available.
