Ikaruga confirmed for Europe
Infogrames confirms that it will release Treasure's latest arcade shooter in Europe later this year.
Following yesterday's
"There is a growing fan base for Ikaruga since its release in Japan and Infogrames has recognized that the hard-core gamers have been waiting for this arcade-style version to be released for a console," said Pascale Vermeerbergen, European marketing director at Infogrames. "Ikaruga has some of the best graphics ever featured in a shoot-'em-up action game and we are convinced that this title will be as huge in Europe as it has been in Japan."
Ikaruga is an innovative top-down shooter in which players assume the role of a pilot named Shinra who is the sole survivor of a freedom federation that was massacred by an evil conqueror named Tenro Horai.
